(There is a way to add that feature that is {almost} using what Enscape has just now... Tracking image/horizontal panorama)

The trello card has been created 2 years ago and I really hope that this function can come to Enscape.
Orthographic / Parallel view is a must if Enscape wants to pride itself as a tool for Architects.
To Dev:
If you want to see how orthographic viewport behave please take a look at Substance Designer/Substance Painter's OpenGL -or- IRay's viewport

Dear Enscape-Team,
you really do a great job with the program. It's actually an also a replacement for standard render tools- if it could do simple parallel views like Side View, Front View, Top view which are standard/ everyday job for everyone creative like architects!!
I tried the numpad- commands, you mentioned before:
- 5 - Top View
- 2,4,6,8 horizontal views from different directions
Honestly thats are not parallel view, see enclosed picture-it's totally distorted.
Please work on this, it's a major drawback- before solving other nicies.
-
@ArchItecture01 Totally agreed.
1 degree FOV is NOT parallel view.
Enscape team, hope you guys could really put this feature request into priority. Thanks.
-
ArchItecture01 joeykeys It's not a parall/ortho view, that's why I haven't called it that way
Feature got your upvotes!

Trust you guys are busy looking into this but my vote also for native iso and other parallel views.
would be really useful for front end diagram type work. Enscape great for renders but also has great potential as a concept diagram tool. We use Revit which is a bit tedious for conceptual diagrams, most people end up using Indesign and illustrator but Revit can do much of the stuff we need, just need to work out how! Example I'm looking to generate sequence of views such as the attached example. Simple diagrams explaining design concept. My proposed workflow as follows: Model in Revit, render white model in Enscape, create two views in Revit and overlay on sheet, a hidden line model view and a drafting view to add coloured areas, bold outlines, arrows etc depending on diagram. Then place Enscape white model render as Decal on drafting view as background. then just duplicate drafting view and adapt as required. Problem is Enscpae can't to do proper Iso views and suggested workaround too much of a fudge, just cant get right angle! Hope to see iso functions soon!!!

+1. I keep coming back to the forum hoping for an update. Your tool has become so valuable in our workflow that I can't imagine creating a rendered elevation any other way. Hopefully it can come to Revit first.

...Sketchup first, if there is a way to vote...

We are using other soft instead of enscape just because of this... really is this feature so hard to achieve? ?
-
I recorded your votes. If the feature comes, it will quite probably be for all CADs simultaneously.

+1 for this one

“If the feature comes” ?? This is very hopeless...

...Sketchup first, if there is a way to vote...
... which is the (only!) right concept to follow - Prio#1 is the view connection to the scenes fixed in SkUp

I am "just" a software engineer that makes the renderer make pretty pictures, I don't get to decide what gets done. But I must say, being able to look behind the curtain, we here at Enscape really listen to your feedback.

Glad this is being talked about it. 1+ here.

Is there any new place to vote for this feature? Old link where we voted does not exist:

+1 Please.
The 'workaround' is not a workaround for those of use who need truly orthogonal views.
This is one of the major missing components to Enscape right now. (The other being better exposure control; you know what I mean if you've ever tried to use Enscape lights and then point the camera at an open window and it changes the exposure...no predictability there...but i digress).
Would LOVE to have this as a standard feature for the SketchUp version at least. Thanks.

If this parallel/ortho camera feature comes true, it will truely sets Enscape apart from game engine like Unreal or Unity.
Looking forward to seeing it implemented.
