+1 for integrated alpha transparency in png files. The problem with the material ID is that you don't get an accurate edge fade. So we get this burn effect on the edges.

if you adjust the depth map setting in the capture tab you get a perfect b&w alpha image.

absolutely CRUCIAL this functionality for diagrams and most architectural production work. without it we're sticking to Vray. seems easy to implement so would be glad to see this asap integrated

and a shadow catcher ground plane would be amazing if possible, meaning a transparent background but option to not have transparency where the shadows hit the ground. (as vray wrapper material as shadow catcher)
