Added, thank you very much!
I'd like to add my vote for this as well!

Sure, added!

(facing a lot of "invalid texture" with bumps/norm and roughness textures, even though i saved them as a .skm after i set the textures both in sketchup and in the enscape material editor)

Seems like a basic but highly useful feature.
I assume it is much easier to implement than the asset library, but it would be just as useful, maybe more.

it would be amazing to have materials already created for enscape.
I myself created my own library, configuring all of them and then saving them as SKM, when using again, it is already configured.
I'll leave the link to a video in which I explain
reconfiguring basic SketchUp material library with installation of Enscape would be a very useful feature. many people who do not know or do not want to mess with the libraries would appreciate it very much.

Great to see you in action!
Thanks for the feedback - this is actually something which we plan on providing in the future eventually - just at the moment there is no concrete ETA just yet, but I can completely understand that this would be a very valuable feature indeed.
I'm about to manually start building my own material library and *really* wishing there was some solid presets to remove tedium and save my time.
Please add my vote to the crowd as this would be a super helpful QoL addition.
I may be wrong here but I'm under the impression that "no ETA" means it isn't considered a high enough priority to be scheduled yet.
Seems to me to be in the low-hanging fruit category and easier to implement that some other planned additions? It would be great to see this added to the queue ASAP.
Tnx!
I think I posted already, but a material library that could be share between different applications would be awesome!!
Our company uses many software with Enscape, and we exchange assets between apps too so it is kind of logical that we could transfer from schematic design in Sketchup or Rhino to REVIT and keep those models with Enscape materials.
This could even generate a repository website were people could share their best materials with the community.
what he said! This is the future. By creating communities around a product you gain more popularity and more innovation which than amplifies itself. By making an option of interusable material source that work the same on any platform would atract so many users and put Enscape ahead of the rest. Like it is not already
+1 for library..
Would be nice to have even a few nicely set materials for reference.. I know it is done in the sample file for sketchup that I can download.. but my PC was dieing on it.. I requested an upgrade
I was strugling with even simple look of materials at the beginning.. for example I was capturing site plan view and bird eye and here material looked very deep and on other very white.. took me some time to notice that "Tint Color" influences it a lot.. (not sure which phisical property it represents?)
Plus some seperate nicely set up preview in material editor maybe...
And if we are about materials.. If I Copy, Paste material from file to file, it caries on Enscape settings only as far as I don't have already a same material set up in the other file (native sketchup settings only).. Standard sKetchup procedure.. I was going around it by renaming before pasting.. For me it was case quite often happening since I had some projects done before installing Enscape.. had my materials swatches.. is there a way to make sKetchup checking as well Enscape settings before deciding if the material is the same or not..
