Custom Asset Workflow Improvements...

Started working in Custom Asset Editor and I am excited that this is finally available. I have run into a few use cases that could greatly improve workflow.

Duplicate Asset: When you need variants based on size or simple material assets you need to start over from scratch for each variant. By having this you can take process of creating variants down to seconds.
Asset Save As: Much like duplicate it would allow you to edit and save the edits as a new asset. Again saving a large amount of time when you are needing to produce a large amount of variants.
Import Material Package from Asset: Save the time of saving out assets and needing to find and import them.
Update Materials from Asset: Update all materials based on same named asset from another asset package.

Oh yeah and another one.

3/4 view preset: Currently the default view is from the side. Having a 3/4 or ISO for the thumbnails would make it go much quicker and give consistent results across thumbnails. This would make visualization of size and variants much easier.
Ability to save a Custom preset view: Much like having a good view sometimes you may want another view as your default.

+1 duplicating assets (although I would also really like to have asset variations, so our library doesn't fill up with the same chair with a 100 different finishes

+1 To Duplicate Asset with variations. I agree with Pieter.

Here is my suggestions:

1. Duplicate a Project (Not Asset) after opening a existing one and editing. (With Variations)

2. A field to input the Category and a field to input a Tag. I'm editing the Json to do this. If you move the folder to the offline one, you can see.

3. Sort the Custom Library by Category and Tags like the online one. I'm moving the folder

4. Option to Pause or Draft the asset viewport, because of the reloading speed when editing the parameters.

5. Import SKP and DWG.

6. I think a dropper to pull the material its not viable (because its a viewport) but maybe add a Viewport Mode with the the materials assigned colored and identified by the same color on the left panel. (this allow me to import a model without pre-editing and cleaning, some models have a mess of materials names)

Duplicate Custom Assets for sure
Batch export/import materials in the custom asset editor

Exporter from rhino to Enscape asset - an easy way to export a rhino asset + proxy directly into the asset editor. Right now I have to export to .fbx and reconfigure the materials all over again. It would be great to export directly with the already applied matertial. And better yet to auto generate a proxy with a reduced polycount.

+1 (5) on behalf of my colleagues for the ability to add tags and categories to custom assets.

Currently the only searchable sorting method is adding words into the asset title itself which leads to increased title length/bloat.

I have tested editing the .json file to inject categories and tags into the custom assets but the custom asset editor does not seem to support this method. If it does? Please let me know! =) Thank you all!

Would their be any way to have Escape auto generate assets from the the rendered solutions that it creates from Revit? i.e. You could click on a Revit family item in Enscape walkthrough using BIM mode and export that out as an Enscape asset.
