luminous object for no reason

I've been having the same issues with some objects as well. Sometimes it seems that if there is any geometry with default material applied (including back faces that aren't entirely enclosed in a solid) there will be a good in the room. Definitely happens from time to time with white, or near white objects as well. Didn't notice this in earlier versions of Enscape.

I tried to fill in more gray, it did not help. It also filled the inside out. It only helped when I filled it with black.
I even tried to put another parentator, it also glows.
I filled the radiator cavities with a rectangle and the glow disappears. But this is a bad solution to the problem.@joshtays thanks for the advice, but have not solved the problem yet.

Just to make sure, is that problem also present when you render videos or screenshots?
In any case, if you could send me the project (or just the heater) via a DM that would be great so that I can check it out as well on my machine. Perhaps you have the chance to also increase the exposure of the scene slightly, or increase the lighting/intensity of your light sources?
Also, just for you or any others stumbling on this thread, there is a great response from one of our developers here why such glow usually occurs.

the glow went away when the Ambient Brightness slider was set to 0%

That's great to hear! To keep things true to life, I would still recommend not using 100% white as it may generally look unrealistic. Still, it also matters that you're happy with the results and I'm glad that just dialing down the ambient brightness did the trick.

and self ilumination in material tab is ticked off ?

Same thing. Any larger objects That I couldn't hide the glow from, a black solid object in the voids did the trick for a handful of models I have been working on.
jan1 I can't speak for Yana on this one, but, yes the glowing for no reason, is truly without reason. No self illuminating materials.

Perhaps you can also share a screenshot of that? We may very well be able to give you some further tips.

Self ilumination disabled

I'm having similar issues with multiple projects. No Self-Illumination, playing with Visual Settings does not affect anything.
Seems like whenever a brighter object is next to a darker surface, it illuminates onto the darker surface. When rendered, the illuminated effects are slightly brighter as well. Here's a screenshot of the plant moved away from the wall
Any solutions?
