Today, I encountered such a problem in my work, the grass does not appear, my perspective is close view perspective, the distance should be very close to the problem, the parameters are correct, the grass is not shown, and later re endowed a new grass material, reluctantly appeared a little, such as figure two, but only a small piece, and render. I don't know if I have used too many agency documents to occupy the resources of grass.

The grass is out of sight

could we have control over the distance limit?

Hi tas_1985 it looks as if you're rather far away from the grass itself, so you might run into the rendering distance limit of our grass. To make sure this is not an issue with Enscape, is there any chance you could send us the project file?
Just a few scenes, the grass will not show. There are no other questions. How can I send this document to you?

We still have this issue where the grass diapers when we need to create an image from a distance.
Is there a way to somehow overwrite the distance settings?

General it could be helpful to use a grass texture instead a single green color only. So, the background could be without grass geometry, but some color variation would be kept.
(I would like to use a manual control of the distance too.)

I had no problems in 2.3.3 but after installing preview release (2.4.0) grass is not rendered in further distance.

Hi egdutis, Is this behavior occuring in rendered images as well or only in Enscape live view?
It would be great if you could send in feedback via the [Feedback] button of Enscape as well. Please add your mail address and a note about this forum post.
Hey,
Behavior is the same in both live and rendered image. I also submitted the feedback via feedback button.

Hi, i have the same grass problem, with older version all works well, but with 2.4 the grass is not rendered from +/-10m and more far away. I tested this with Revit 2016 and 2019.

Xel And was the sun shadow of 2.3.3 softer also? I like the softer shadow.
I noticed it too but I'm more concerned about not to be able to render the grass and the clouds like before, so I'm switching back to 2.3.3 for the time being.

My grass also clips out at around 10m, happens in both live screen and the rendered image. Is this a bug or an intended way to keep the frame rates smooth limiting polys?
Either way its infuriating! i cant send an image to a client with the grass stopping short of the house, it looks like the house is sitting on a little artificial grass oasis.
Ive never used 2.3.3 does this rollback generally fix the issue?

We improved that for the next version! It will be also included in the next preview version.

Hi,
I can imagine that limiting the distance of the rendering of grass improves the performance for most users. In live rendering it makes a lot of sense, but it contradicts the ability of making High Quality 8k outputs in which half of the grass isn't rendered when zooming in. It also has unwanted effects in combination with other assets that I use complementary with grass. A manual control override would be the most favourable solution from user perspective so we can push the boundaries of whatever hardware setup we have. Instead of being limited by a setting that is most likely determined by a general average setup that makes it user friendly for the masses. In orders words, I can see my graphics card can handle more and wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer for a rendering with grass that run's further into the distance. In my opinion at least the distance in which the grass is rendered should depend on the resolution of the output image. (The image provided is zoomed in)
Thanks in advance for making this possible!
(working with enscape 3.2.0)

Is there any progress on this matter? I would very much appreciate control over the rendering distance of the grass.
