Asset Scaling Issue - Again?

    So - its looking like the Pine tress assets have changed scale throwing off what i had in my model.


    The one on the left was imported just now and the other two were pulled from the tree line. The new import is about 30% large yet in Enscape VP is the same size. Please explain - Was the library updated over the weekend?


    I'm trying not to have to rework this tree line. Please let me know if the assets have been changed and or if so being corrected.

    - stone 3

    - grass bush


    Is the pine tree "Pine 4"?

    My users reported seeing many of the rocks scaled wrongly. Would recommend the artists to check all of them.


    These issues have been fairly disruptive so it would be nice if future updates doublecheck against issues like these.

    We've analyzed all Assets and fixed all that showed noticeable changes in scale.


    We might have missed some Assets with more subtle scaling changes, but the vast majority should be as expected again.


    To fix these Assets in your system?

    Please close Enscape and Delete the folder: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp\Enscape\Assets\


    Once this folder is deleted, Restart Enscape and the assets will be showing at the correct scale again.


    If you have Assets that are scaled incorrectly in your CAD (this would be the case only for Asset placed after last Friday, the 19th) you also need to replace those Assets.

    If 100s/1000s of customers are relying on your assets, it is a bit troubling that at any given time the whole thing could just blow up. While some of the images that came out of this were entertaining, I know some of our users were trying to produce renderings on a deadline and were not amused....

    We've conducted a thorough analysis of what exactly caused the incorrect scaling of Assets immediately after the release of Enscape 3.0. We're making sure that safety measures are in place before any new Assets are released, to ensure nothing like this can happen in the future.

    Regarding the incorrect scalings you've experienced in the past few days, we're currently working on identifiying the exact cause. We had to reupload many of our Assets and did a visual checkup of all of them beforehand. Unfortunately it seems like some Assets slipped through this checkup. Please be aware that the above mentioned safety measures were not yet in place, as they will take some time to implement.


    This incident is taken very seriously here at Enscape up to the highest levels and we're aware that many of you rely on Enscape to create renderings on tight deadlines.

    The assets that scaled wrongly this week (that we came across) were all assets without a clear scale (like rocks), so perhaps those slipped through the cracks with a visual checkup.

    Oh no :( - The scale on the vegetation has changed by itself. I haven't touch the scaling of the originals. Still Enscape has changed it and everything has become small. Its regarding Bushes.. Can you help me fix this ?
