Volumetric lights

I need to create volumetric light beams for set designs, Sure I can use a png for a simple view but it does not work that well and fails in animations.

What are the possibilities of achieving this effect with a real Enscape spotlight?

Solo , has been requested a lot of times now, it's also a feature I'd personally love to see implemented. At the moment, really no ETA yet though regarding when this will be added - should be a matter of time only, and I've happily forwarded your upvote as always.

Add fog and play with the height; you fake it, but not sure if that works for you and your project
