Enscape won't open - stuck at 5% loading

Please note: Should you experience issues with Enscape or your subscription, and in case of any urgent inquiries/questions (e.g. regarding our upcoming licensing changes) please reach out to our dedicated support team via the Help Center or Support button as detailed here.
  • Even though i was working on enscape with Rhino 7, when i tried to work on a different Rhino file, enscape crushed, and then it remains stuck at loading when opening. I tried different computers and also uninstalling and reinstalling both enscape and rhino and nothing fixed it. And this problem appears to all Rhino models even the one i was working on before the problem occured. Any solutions?

I am sorry to hear about that - To get behind this as quickly as possible, please also be so kind as to submit us a Feedback report with your log files and we can look further into it.

  • Hello Damien
One of our end users are a similiar issue with Revit 2021.1.5 and Enscape 3.3.1.75071.
    GPU: NVIDIA Quadro P2000

    OS: Win 10 20H2
    Computer model:
All drivers updated for all hardware.
    Latest Visual C++ 2015-2019 installed.
Same issue with or without dockingstation.
We have tried clearing %localappdata% and %appdata% for Enscape and Revit, then doing a repair of Enscape.
When pressing the "Launch Enscape" button, it's opening the "Loading" screen and immediately shows 2%.
Logs are sent from the affected machine with topic "Enscape stuck at 2%".

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi Damian, I know your standard response is 'post feedback' but I don't have time to wait 2 days for a fix - I've downloaded a trial version to see how it goes on my sketchup, I don't have a lot of technical ability but I am also stuck on the 'loading' screen as soon as it gets to 5%. Now this question seems to come up multiple times on a lot of different forums so it must be a major issue. Could you not post a generic range of fixes that might suit different bugs? For the trial version to freeze, does not fill me with confidence that the final package will be easy to run, which is all I want. Please convince me I am wrong.

  • Hi pascaltibbits

    Welcome to our forum.

In most cases, this is due to using a machine that does not meet our system requirements as seen here.

Additionally, it can be caused by using a docking station or a remote desktop.

When using a docking station it may be resolved by disabling the integrated Intel card as seen here.

However, there are of course some cases where there is a different cause, but without any log files, we are unable to determine that.

  • there are quite a few graphics related bugs... this 5% was one not anymore for me but i still can't see any butteons in the interface without hovering over them

  • Hi KAD

Could you please explain what you mean with "quite a few graphics related bugs"?

Perhaps we can resolve or clarify some of your issues.

Additionally, please send in a screenshot of the missing buttons, and send us a feedback report including the log files as well as seen here, and add a link to this thread in the description for context.

Has this been fixed in newer builds? we have another user experiencing this issue. I will tell him to try disabling the integrated graphics but wanted to see if there was a formal solution yet.

The formal solution, if his issue is also caused by Enscape trying to use the on-board intel chip, is listed here:

    https://enscape3d.com/communit…dgebase/multi-gpu-issues/

Depending on whether the user has an NVIDIA or AMD card installed into his system of course.

If that does not do the trick we recommend disabling the Intel on-board graphics all together, which only requires a few clicks.

Let me know if you still experience this behavior afterward.

  • Hello! I have experienced this issue a couple of times on a colleague's laptop and we have resolved it twice now - the issue seems to come from the integrated graphics driver. While our NVIDIA GPU has the latest drivers, we had to update our AMD Radeon Integrated Graphics drivers twice now to resolve the 5% issue. This doesn't seem to be an issue with Intel Integrated Graphics, or at least I haven't experienced this issue with users in my office using Intel-based systems. For those computers an NVIDIA driver update was all that we needed. Hope that helps!

I just registered to this forum just to say bravo to your comment! Bravo!

    This worked for me!

  • A colleague of mine is working on my pc and can't get Enscape to work with Revit because some time ago I had already tried a 14-day trial version which is now expired. How is it possible to reset the pc to allow him to work with Enscape on Revit with his login credentials?

    Thanks, it's very urgent

Pardon me but I'm not sure if I understand fully. Does your colleague own a license, or have you only been making use of trial time so far? And if your colleague does own a license (or makes use of a license with multiple seats) please also get in touch with licensing@enscape3d.com when you experience issues with logging into your account and/or general license issues.

Thanks in advance for any further responses.

  • Hello, I have been trying to render my view in Revit 2021 and it is also stuck on the 5% page.

GPU: nvidia geforce gtx 1660 ti

    OS: Win 10

    All drivers updated.

When pressing the "Launch Enscape" button, it's opening the "Loading" screen and immediately shows 5%.

Whenever you experience issues like that, you can feel free to simply submit a feedback report with logs as detailed here:

We'll then be able to troubleshoot the cause behind this issue further. Thank you in advance.

  • Hello!

I am in Rhino 7 using Enscape 3.5 I believe and I am experiencing similar issues. I run the enscape start command and it loads to exactly 10% each time before each program simply stops and my computer goes back to sitting idle with the fans slowing back down.

If anyone knows a solution I would be deeply grateful, thank you so much!!

In such a case (crashes, Enscape not starting) please also make sure to simply submit us a dedicated feedback report with log files as this forwards all the information we require for further troubleshooting: https://learn.enscape3d.com/bl…eedback-button-win-rhino/

  • Thank you so much,

How can I send the log files if I cannot get enscape to start and consequently load these files? Or maybe I have that incorrect but I will do whatever you say if it helps!

    Thanks for your reply! :)

To answer your question: Thankfully log files have already been generated automatically while you were using Enscape before, which are locally stored on your machine and submitted via that feedback report I detailed. All you have to do is press the button as per our knowledgebase article, before inputting some more submission data and then clicking on "Send". Enscape does not have to be running either for you to submit said report.

Once more thank you in advance, for your cooperation!

  • Demian Gutberlet just stumbled across this thread. This seems to be my exact issue as well. I've already submitted log files through feedback but never heard anything back. Enscape is critical to our workflow. Do you know what next steps are? I sent you a message as well.

    Thanks!

Hi Schwarz2004 , and welcome to our Forum.

In this case, as per the feedback report you've submitted, please first off right away update your GPU drivers as they seem to be over three years of age at this point. If that doesn't do the trick, please simply reply back to my colleague via the report / via e-mail. :)

Thank you very much in advance.
