Hi, can I see the .exe examples, provided on the site, also with my new HTC Vive? Besides its all working well within Revit & Sketchup, I don't see how I reach the VR in the .exe file. Cheers!

Use VR in standalone executable?

......and, maybe is the example "Standalone Large Building" also as a Revit file available?
-
Still a question: how can I use my HTC vive (or Oculus Rift) with .exe files?

Hi RemcoNL you have to activate VR Headset in the ribbon menu as if you would want to use it on your machine. Then, export the standalone.
For more information regarding the standalone export, please check our knowledgebase.

Can we use the Oculus rift goggles with an exported file? I see and have used it within Enscape but don't know if it is possible with an exported file

It would be amazing if this were an implemented feature!

Yes you can, you need to enable VR BEFORE exporting your file. When you then start up your file externally you will be presented with a view searching for an HMD.

This issue seems to be a problem in most render plugin that work with Sketchup (maybe except for vray).
One need to be able to replicate previous renders (Captures) exactly in the future from various files, regardless if the Sketchup or Enscape viewport window is off by several pixels in size.
In the Capture setting for resolution if one types in 4000 by 2500, then it should match a 4000x2500 capture from the same files created previously. at the moment that is not the case.
How is this programmed in Enscape? Is there a way to get this consistent without messing with manually stretching viewports?
Can the resolution/size be determined by the Centerpoint of the viewport window and then grows equidistant in the x and y direction, so it doesn't really matter where the window edges are in the x and y?
What is the workflow solution?
Thanks

I know this thread is outdated but still appears under a google search for help for VR standalone file.
I found out today after using Enscape for a very long time that there is a Settings menu in the standalone file:
https://enscape3d.com/wp-conte…18/10/newsettingsmenu.png
This allows you to enable VR. For me there is not "view searching for an HMD" in the standalone file.
It was only able to be activated through the Settings menu button within the standalone file. Then it worked on our HTC Vive.
Developers please note, I found this button very hard to find!!! In fact for over a year I never knew it even existed! Is there a way to make this button for Settings menu much easier to find, more noticeable, more conspicuous to the user?? Perhaps use a color to distinguish the button or a symbol with a gear? Or both?
Thanks.
