This one IMO is best for the lowest price based on the choices, The 1060 card will run VR and 4K smooth. (obviously the 1080 version is better, but too pricey.
Sure, more ram is better, 32GB is enough for everything.

It has i7, 16GB ram and a 1060.
I have used it daily for a couple of months now on big revit projects and the last couple of weeks with enscape and everything runs good, it's also a VR ready laptop.
The only thing it couldn't load very well was a 2GB navisworks file, but that's abnormally large and could be fixed with a ram upgrade or better settings.
I have an ASUS with a 765M. Would love to know a little more about the VR and how that works. I will go look at your link..........but I am using SketchUp
ntxdave Enscape has the same system requirements for Revit and SketchUp.
But I would recommend a GTX 980 Ti/1070 (8 Gb) or higher for VR experience in high/ultra quality.
I would also recommend the ASUS laptops for games

Why don't you go with a laptop as compared to PC. If you purchase Razer Blade Pro then you will not only get 32 GB but you can also able to get 17 inches large screen.
Acer Predator Helios and Dell Inspiron could also be good choices.

Our office is looking to buy a laptop that we can use as a VR setup and render station.
Currently, we are a Mac based office. All Mac Pros. But we need to have one setup that is VR capable, and one that can run Enscape with both Revit and Sketchup. We're looking at a laptop because there are many occasions where we need to work on-site remotely. So having a desktop setup isn't ideal.
I am currently looking to buy an Asus ROG Zephyrus (GX501). But I'm not crazy about the look of a gaming laptop. Are there any other non gaming laptops out there that meet all of the specs required to run a decent VR setup? We will be using the HTC VIVE.
We're going to be getting a new laptop specifically for SketchUp/Enscape and based on what I think we need (i7, 16Gb GTX1060, 256GB+ SSD) I've settled on one of the following:
95% of its time will be spent on my on my desk hooked up to Monitor/KB/Mouse but the other 5% will find it out doing presentations so physical durability is a low consideration.
Do any of you have any other recommendations or experience with the above?
Hey Paul Russam , both laptops will work fine with Enscape, so it boils down to personal preference. We generally don't have any specific laptop recommendations, but we generally recommend something with at least a GTX1060 if you plan to use Enscape VR as well, so you should be good to go. 
Hey davidhard , thanks for your question. I've researched a bit and it's not quite easy to find a laptop with a GTX 1060 upwards, without the "gaming look". Our laptops which we use for exhibitions are also gaming laptops and they have the typical look you've mentioned. If you let me know where you're located, I can further research some stores accordingly and try to find a decent laptop without gaming look. 
Have a look at the DELL G series, we’re looking getting at a G3 17”, there’s also G5’s and G7’s.
The 7’s aren’t available in the UK so I don’t know the spec’s but the G3 I’m looking at is i7, 16Gb, 1060 etc.
Their Alienware range go upto 1080’s but look very ‘gamey’

We had the same problem months ago... We finally got a MSI Raider with a GTX 1070, which looks "gamey" but it's mostly black, the colorful keyboard is customizable and you can turn off the lights.

Hey, folks! I'm about to take the ol' greenbacked plunge into fiscal irresponsibility, and I could use some help choosing a gaming laptop. I'm not very computer-savvy these days, but I do understand the basics. Currently, my laptop can't run SotA (even bare bones).
To put it simply: I'm looking for a high-end console LITHIUM-POWERED CHARIOT OF WIRELESS SMITING. It doesn't need to be the best of the best, but I would like for its specifications to remain decent for a year or two. I don't need to play games on the absolute highest settings, although that would be nice. If it can brew tea, it's mine.
As far as preferences go, I'd like a screen that's at least 15". I'm shooting for 17". I don't expect much of a battery life on a gaming console, but a decent one is ideal. It must have a good wireless card! Lag drives me insane, especially while roleplaying. My character can only pick his nose for so long! Ports are good. I LOVE PORTS
