Weird Graphical Flickering

  • Hi,

I am using Enscape with Revit 2020. I am using Enscape with the Live Update option turned on. When I am "walking" around my model I see some weird graphical flickering, almost as if the screen / model is vibrating / shaking. I took a video, seen here:

In this file the flickering is not very severe, however I had another recent project where it was extreme, and I had to cut and paste all of the 3d geometry into a new clean revit file to get enscape to stop doing it.

    Appreciate any help.

  • Attaching the walls to the roof should fix this issue..

Thank you for the tip, however I have done that now and the issue still persists. Here's an exterior and interior shot (above ceiling below roof) of the walls and roof, they're "attached" in Revit.

  • Hey FS_Designer_2021

thanks a lot for your report! Which version of Enscape are you using?

If this is Enscape 3.1 and you're running on an RTX graphics card: Does disabling the Nvidia real-time denoiser help with the issue?

and I had to cut and paste all of the 3d geometry into a new clean revit file to get enscape to stop doing it.

This could however indicate that it's a problem with the geometry in the project. There's for example one issue, when the geometry is located really far off the origin of the 3d coordinate system, that can lead to precision errors in the rendering calculations. If you can send feedback with log files, our customer service will have a look at those and see if there's any indication in that regard.
