Section Cuts very dark?

    Hi there,


    Been using Enscape to visualise a project and came to wanting to cut a section through the space. When using a section plane in Sketchup, the Sketchup shadows version works fine, but in Enscape it looks as if the mass above is still there and generates shadows based on that? So in this case the internal rooms with no windows recieve no light! Anyone ever had this issue before? Thanks!

    Currently, and most likely in the future as well, this behaviour is normal and to be expected - unfortunately Enscape only receives the geometry data of the full uncut scene so to speak from SketchUp itself, which is why these openings can not let any light in to thus also not cast any shadows. The only workaround, for now, would be to remodel the scene accordingly.


    Hopefully, this won't influence your workflow in a negative way all too much.

    I have to say that it's really anything but ideal and I can't understand why this function isn't offered. I hope that this will be possible in the next version of Enscape, otherwise I will have to change the program..

    As mentioned in the other thread, I wish we could easily fix this but our hands are tied here.
