Hello @all helpdesk, I recently updated enscape to 3.5.0 and before that 3.3.0, space mouse is the latest build, Revit 2022, windows 10 64 bits.
The problem is still there with lock horizon, I tried uninstalling spacemouse drivers and restored the settings to default. Nothing changes, it is still impossible to lock the horizon in Enscape on Revit 2022, I also tried Revit 2023, same problem.
It is almost impossible to use spacemouse with Enscape because the horizon is so wrong all the time. Some help please ?

If you have the chance please make sure to also give our latest Preview 15 of Enscape 3.5 a try as we've added additional improvements in regards to SpaceMouse:
As usual, please report back in case you run into any issues or wish to share any valuable feedback generally! -
Many thanks Demian,
I will install the latest update today and report back anything unusual.

I just tried 3.5 Preview. It made the situation worse. Previously I was stuck in object mode but at least the Horizon was locked. In 3.5 I am stuck in object mode, but with an unlocked horizon. When I try to change to one of the other modes it has no affect.

I agree with RandalRDesign,
unfortunately 3.5.0-preview. 15 + 101609 is a backward step. The horizon does not lock and the controls are all reversed (which a long time ago was the default but recently I have not had to check the boxes to reverse the controls)
Reinstalling preview. 14 and everything seems OK again.

Willsud, Are you able to use camera mode in 3.5.0-preview.14+99672?
I just installed it. I got the horizon lock back. But all the navigation modes are acting like object mode. Which is how it was in the official releases for me.
-
I put it into camera mode and checked the lock horizon option.
The horizon did not lock.
The controls were also too sensitive it seemed to me - at the default 50% speed position on the slider - than in the previous version.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback as always - One of our developers working on SpaceMouse support has been notified already and we'll look into it.
Also, at least when it comes to "the navigation modes acting like object mode" please try to use our custom SpaceMouse Enscape Config files:
Enscape_Spacemouse_setting_configs.zip
Simply acquire and move all those config files into the %AppData%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg folder.
Let me know if that doesn't do the trick or in case there is any other input you wish to share!

Hi Demian, I cannot access the files. Can you check the permissions on the folder or approve my access?

Please try again now and you should be able to acquire the .zip file with just a click.

Unfortunately that did not work. It is still behaving like it was before.

Did you refresh the page as well? I have removed the link to the Google drive folder and instead uploaded it via the Forum instead.
I'll attach them once more with this reply:
Enscape_Spacemouse_setting_configs.zip
Let me know in case you still run into any issues!

I did get the files from the google drive. I meant that it did not change the Space mouse behavior.

I understand - Thank you very much for the feedback.
In that case it would be ideal if you could also briefly send us your SpaceMouse logs for further investigation:
Click "Write Log File" and then attach the generated file you'll find here:
%LocalAppData%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxService.log
You should be able to upload the file directly (via the Attachments tab), otherwise please put it in a .zip before, which will definitely work.

The Log file is uploaded here.

The Log file is uploaded here.
Thank you very much. Our developers have forwarded the following inquiries regarding your log file specifically, if you could offer another reply after checking them out we'd be very grateful:
1) What does the folder %AppData%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg\ currently contain? Since the Enscape_3D*.xml files are placed into this folder and the Enscape3D.xml file is still in there from the logs we would assume all those files are in there. If the Enscape_3D*.xml are no longer present it might be that the driver thinks they are defective (for some reason) and is removing them. (This may be unlikely but we don't wanna rule it out)
2) If so, delete Enscape3D.xml from that folder and make sure that the Enscape_3D*.xml files are present in it instead.
3) Start Enscape and check what happens to the contents of that folder. Is Enscape3D.xml restored?
We're also still in touch with 3DConnexion regarding this behavior, and thanks a lot again in advance!

Just to mention that in hours of experimentation I have found a problem with the Spacemouse enterprise hardware. When connected it was 'drifting' very slightly and seemed to be generating a stream of spurious keypresses.
After unconnecting, uninstalling and reconnecting all my devices it seemed to be the Spacemouse hardware that was at fault. Removing it and connecting an old wireless portable Spacemouse works much better - at least in Twinmotion linked to Revit which I am now using instead of Enscape for client presentations but thought to mention it as it might be of interest (the portable wireless Spacemouse doesn't seem to work in Revit 2023 at all but I don't use it for Revit). The old Spacemouse has a much more delicate feel, although the rubber seems to have gone a bit 'sticky' ?

Display More
I really appreciate the cooperation - If you could answer a few more of these questions then that would be very helpful:
When closing Enscape under Revit and restarting, does it still show "Enscape3D" in the settings? If it picks the correct config, it should show "Enscape 3D Revit" there, so if you could kindly check that?
Also, would it be possible if you could send us another log file for troubleshooting, where you're first checking the logging flag in the Spacemouse settings, then start Revit and Enscape with the Spacemouse attached. This should produce another log file you can simply attach once more please?
Besides that 3DConnexion is currently looking into it to see if they can reproduce this behavior too.
