    unfortunately I can't use my MixedReality-Headset (Reverb G2) with 3.5. Anyone else hjaving issues here? Enscape just won't recognize the headset. 3.4 works without issues.


    Beside that the visual improvements of 3.5 are really impressive and a great step forward.

    I'm sorry to hear about - Right away, can you uninstall SteamVR (if it's present on your machine as it's not required or used anymore with our latest previews) and also try re-installing Windows Mixed Reality?

    Pardon me, could you perhaps rephrase that or also translate it to English? I'm not sure if my own translation is correct so I don't fully understand the question, and if this is only related to Preview 14? Thanks in advance.


    I've been missed some items in the mirror and the previous version we had reflected in the mirror, now this version it's gone.

    I appreciate the report. Right away, I reckon the Visual Settings were the same in Preview 13 and 14, especially the Rendering Quality?


    Also, those are renderings you've shared, correct? Or are these perhaps captures of your live walk-through?


    Further, which graphics card are you currently using with Enscape and is there a chance you could kindly share the scene with me so that I can try reproducing this as well? Let me know if possible and I'll send you a personalized link to confidentially upload the scene.

  • Ich verwende ENSCAPE3.5P13 und die Spiegelreflexion ist viel besser als zuvor. Aber es kann nicht aus jedem Blickwinkel perfekt dargestellt werden. Außerdem scheint das Echtzeit-Update nicht rechtzeitig aktualisiert zu werden. Ich kann einige der Renderings und Szenen teilen, die ich geteilt habe, aber als chinesischer Benutzer, dessen Fremdsprachenniveau nicht hoch ist, gibt es Kommunikationsprobleme. Ich bin Verzeihung.

    This's my setting and system information (Revit 2022). I'm very pleasure to test the new Escape Preview and give this feedback. (This scene's my client so I could share a bit.)

    Feel free to indeed share some of the scenes with me if possible, or at least a few example renderings would also indeed be great. I reckon you've already tried Preview 14 as well? If you haven't please try our latest update as well.

    We've just released the latest Enscape v3.5 Preview - Version 15.


    NEW:

    Improved SpaceMouse Support

    • Custom Enscape button actions
    • Fix for mode switch not working for some customers
    • New navigation modes provided by 3DConnexion
    • Better movement in Object Mode with better center of rotation adjustments


    Please note:

    To be able to use the hotkey buttons you currently have to go into the 3DConnexion settings and configure them for Enscape manually. We also recommend setting "Camera Mode" as the navigation mode in the advanced settings. We expect these settings to ship as defaults with the next 3DConnexion driver update.


    UPDATE:

    Nvidia 531.18 Driver Crash

    We’ve implemented a workaround for the driver crash with the latest Nvidia drivers.


    Enscape No Longer Recognizes Favorite Views Created With Enscape 2.x

    Enscape will no longer recognize the favorite state of views in projects that were created with an Enscape version older than Enscape 3.0 and have not been opened with Enscape 3.x since then. If you still need the favorite state for the views in such a project, just open the project once with Enscape 3.4.


    BUGFIXES:

    Image Capturing Crashes

    We’ve improved the stability of image capturings with hardware ray-tracing enabled, which previously ran into a driver timeout (TDR).

    It seems you have unfortunately not sent in any report with logs yet so that we can troubleshoot this further, so it would be great if you could do so by just clicking the first button in the error message window you receive, or by manually submitting a feedback report as we detail here.

  • Demian Gutberlet When are the previews going to include the asset color variation and lighting addition? I saw 3.5 is supposed to come out next month, yet arguably the two most important features of this update have yet to be tested.

    I was wondering that myself as well. I fear another "oh...good feedback but it's too late now to do anything about it" might be coming our way :|


    With other software packages I follow, the big changes are made early in the release cycle, so there's enough time for testing, bug fixing and fine tuning. It seems with Enscape it's usually the other way around.

  • Something is messed up with lighting in the Enscape window live view in preview 15. See comparison of normal view in preview 14, and weird sections with incorrect lighting calculations in v15. As I turn the view I can see alternating patches of correct and incorrect lighting.

    Thanks for your report! This is unfortunately a known issue with Preview 15 and will be fixed with the next Preview release.
