Hello dear Demian Gutberlet, please share the link for the test so that I download Enscape 3.5 Preview 15<3

Hi there 2dartistuz , you can always acquire our latest preview here. :) Remember to share any feedback with us please especially in case you encounter any issues.

Hello Enscape 3.5 Preview 15 does sketchup 2023 support?

Both our latest preview(s) and release support SketchUp 2023!

    ENSCAPE3.5-P14是反向更新,小场景用P13正常渲染换成P14直接报错。SketchUp2023,显卡3060-12G<img src="https://forum.enscape3d.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/42243-img-20230306-014034-autoscaled-jpg/" class="woltlabAttachment" data-attachment-id="42243" id="wcfImgAttachment0" >

It seems you have unfortunately not sent in any report with logs yet so that we can troubleshoot this further, so it would be great if you could do so by just clicking the first button in the error message window you receive, or by manually submitting a feedback report as we detail here.

  • Demian Gutberlet When are the previews going to include the asset color variation and lighting addition? I saw 3.5 is supposed to come out next month, yet arguably the two most important features of this update have yet to be tested.

I was wondering that myself as well. I fear another "oh...good feedback but it's too late now to do anything about it" might be coming our way :|

With other software packages I follow, the big changes are made early in the release cycle, so there's enough time for testing, bug fixing and fine tuning. It seems with Enscape it's usually the other way around.

  • Something is messed up with lighting in the Enscape window live view in preview 15. See comparison of normal view in preview 14, and weird sections with incorrect lighting calculations in v15. As I turn the view I can see alternating patches of correct and incorrect lighting.

Thanks for your report! This is unfortunately a known issue with Preview 15 and will be fixed with the next Preview release.

  • Hello, I don't know if my comment is helpful, but I use almost all the rendering software on the market, one of my conclusions is that ENSCAPE is the most comfortable and easy of all, but having seen the update of your competition I think you will They were far behind, especially in the materials editor. Something that they should improve for their next version is to create a more robust material editor and not only be limited to 4 maps.

Another point that should be improved is with respect to the vegetation, of all the rendering software ENSCAPE is the only one that handles not very detailed vegetation, such as LUMION.

My conclusion that beyond focusing on being able to change the colors of the assets library elements, they should first improve useful things like the material editor.

I hope my comment will be taken into account, thank you

  • Rafafreyr You bring up valid points that have been brought up multiple time over the last few years. See this post

RE: Secondary Channel for Optional Textures (Bump, Roughness)

and my comment linking to even more threads about just the material part of your comment. The best you'll get out of anyone directly from Enscape is please submit a feature request to the Enscape aether... sorry I mean portal.

  • Instead of my Index controllers I now see the Vive controllers in this preview. A step back, but I can live with that.

However, on top of that I now get a super annoying vibration now every single time I teleport. It's not even a good vibration, it gives me a error-beep kind of feeling, like Enscape is trying to warn me. Plus, it is drains the battery of my right controller. Please let me turn that feature off. Please.

  • Tengo un poco de curiosidad por saber qué está haciendo Chaos con Enscape...

Not me, I feel more concern than curiosity since Chaos's forte is Vray and it has already been seen that once they acquired Enscape, the first thing they did was make the vray engine compatible with enscape assets, something that did not happen in the opposite direction. All the feedback and improvements will be summarized in version 3.5 of Enscape if this version does not match or resemble the competition we can terminate the use of the Software.

Hey burggraben thanks for your feedback! Vive index controllers will be shipped after the 3.5 release, we've updated Enscape to the new OpenXR standard, which unfortunately doesn't allow us to automatically retrieve the controller models anymore, so we have to build & integrate these manually for every controller type on the market, which takes some time.
We'll reconsider the vibration feedback on teleport to be less distracting!

Thanks for listening. Index constrollers would be nice, but are not an absolute must. Getting rid of the teleport vibration is way more important. Please don't make it just "less distracting" as in a more subtle vibration. It's simply not needed at all. I can't think of a single VR application where teleporting causes a vibration feedback in my hand. It's completely counter intuitive. I already have visual feedback that my teleport suceeded, I simply don't need a vibration in my hand. If I quickly jump around a model, it's like a constant vibration in my hand.

If you really want to make use of hand vibrations you could add collision checking to the model and vibrate the controller when my hand collides with furniture to make VR feel more real.

I'm looking forward to the next preview release, as the light bleed and errant shadows are making it tough to do interior renders. Any expectations on the next release with possible lighting corrections?

Actually I am going to correct myself here. There IS a vibration feedback in 4.4, but it is so subtle that it always registered at "button pressed" feedback. The vibration in 3.5 is way to strong. Whiel we are on the topic of teleporting: Sometimes when pressing the trigger I teleport multiple times in quick succession an end up on the other side of the universe involuntarily. Easily reproduces when squeezing the trigger slowly. There is a "zone" in the trigger which registers as press and the code fails to check if the trigger was released again before firing a second "pressed" event. Easily fixable.
