If it's not too much trouble, add back limited mode, for what reason wouldn't we be able to utilize it any longer ?

You can read more about the reasons for it here. While I'll gladly forward your feedback, a restricted mode will most likely not be added again anytime soon.

  • Hi All - Today I started with Enscape 3.0 ;) So of course a lot of new stuff to learn or discover.
Of course, as anyone else here, I used fine-tuned and adjusted materials within Enscape 2.9. But why are all these adjustments lost in 3.0?
I'm talking about linked textures for the bumb channel or reflections channel. This would mean that I would have to work through all the materials of all the models to be edited again. I am sure and hope I have overlooked something?

Eu gostaria que a janela de renderização Enscape fosse corrigida no momento em que você editar o material ou até mesmo navegar sketchUp, porque toda vez que eu faço isso ele minimiza, você pode adicionar esse recurso em atualizações futuras do Enscape?

Kindly translate your message the next time before submitting, so that everyone can read directly what you're saying. Thank you! :)

Furthermore, you can use something like deskpins for example to help with getting the Enscape window to always stay on top. If this is not what you are referring to let me know!

    Translation:

That's right, I would like the Enscape window to be fixed to be able to edit the materials and browse SketchUp, I'm using Deskpins, thank you thank you

  • Here's the Release Notes for the latest Enscape v3.1 Preview - Version 2.

Please refer to this article for instructions on how to download the Preview version.

Note: Preview versions are not production proven, so make sure to observe the Known Issues set out below and report any other issues to us.

    What’s included:

    - New Features:

    • Material Editor Overhaul
We have continued the User Interface (UI) overhaul process and have made further updates to the Enscape Material Editor so that it's in line with the rest of the UI delivered with Enscape v3.0. Some further modifications in subsequent Preview versions, especially around display and help texts, should be expected. This Preview therefore allows users to get a taste of the new look and feel of the Enscape Material Editor, as well as a chance to provide valued feedback.

You will now see a visual reference that adopts the material's Albedo Color next to each listed material at the left-side of the Material Editor dialog:

Selecting the newly relocated Self-illuminated material Type: note the new associated material Type symbols:

These associated symbols act as visual references to help locate a material quicker:

Lastly, the Material Editors' embedded Texture Editor is now accessible by clicking on the material hot link (in blue font) of the texture or its associated preview image located just to the right hand side of the material's hot link.

The aim here was to provide a clear hierarchy for the different properties of an Enscape Material by always starting with the specific properties of a Type (see Water above).

CAUTION: Any material assigned as Type 'Self-illuminated' that is then changed in this preview version will subsequently become unusable in any previous release version.

Please create a backup of your project beforehand. We will release an update for Enscape 3.0 in the future allowing some backwards compatibility between Enscape 3.1 and 3.0 when it comes to these materials.

    • Possible crash with RTX 3080
    • Custom skybox can result in a crash with Web Standalones
    • SketchUp & Renderer can crash when expanding/collapsing the Enscape ribbon
    • Trying to store embedded data in BIM360-shared projects can lead to conflicts and failures
    • Artifacts appearing on Material Type Water during video preview and on final exported video
    • VR not working with AMD (RX5700XT)
    • Artifacts in exported video with RTX Video
    • View saving fails after trying to edit View when using duplicate name in an Archicad project (Archicad 24?)

    - Bug Fixes:

A full list of Bug Fixes can be found contained in the attached document. Please refer to the bugs associated ID number when contacting Enscape Support in regards to any of the bugs listed there.

  • 1st: the interface of the video making part has changed the interface, making it very complicated and difficult to use, while the function is no different
2nd: the mixing bar for the repositioning material is very uncomfortable, why don't you put it at the old position but pull it up, the 3rd bar for the shading material is the same, change the position to do You guys should improve the glass material, but during that time you can do more instead of making changes that confuse the user. thanks

  • I miss seeing the maps at the top. Makes it easier to see at a glance what texture maps are loaded in the material.

Some functionality I would like to see in the material editor:

    - Increase brightness (now we can only make images darker)

    - Maybe also sliders for contrast and saturation?

    - Texture size (this helps when troubleshooting why a model is slow/maxing out on memory)

  • Hello, Oculus Quest 2 still doesn't work in this version in Virtual Desktop, the screen moves in this version along the headset but I see no picture through the glasses. It was working fine in 2.9, and started to break in 3.0

    Hi archimage

bugfix will be in the next preview version.

You can now tell Enscape to use either the Polish or Dutch languages throughout the Enscape UI via the Language selection option in the General Settings window, as well as during the Enscape installation process.

A full list of Bug Fixes can be found contained in the attached document. Please refer to the bugs associated ID number when contacting Enscape Support in regards to any of the bugs listed there.

  • I asked this back in early March, but I never got an answer

Can two people work on the same file if one is using 2.9 and the other is in 3,0?

We've got about a dozen people using Enscape, so I'm concerned about getting everyone updated at the same time.

Using in both Sketchup and Revit

  • Here's the Release Notes for the latest Enscape v3.1 Preview - Version 3.

Please refer to this article for instructions on how to download the Preview version.

Note: Preview versions are not production proven, so make sure to observe the Known Issues set out below and report any other issues to us.

    What’s included:

    - New Features:

    • Material Export/Import
The export and import capabilities that are already available in the Custom Asset Editor are also now available within the regular Enscape Material Editor. You can now export a material in one host application (CAD/Editor) and then import it in to any other host application that uses the Material Editor (SketchUp, Rhino, Archicad, Vectorworks as well as the Enscape Custom Asset Editor).

The context menu in the list section of the Material Editor is now also available via a 'meatball' (...) menu, as well as the regular context menu (accessed via right-click).

Please note: texture scaling may not always translate correctly when moving projects between different CAD's (e.g.: between SketchUp and Rhino). So, make sure to check the texture transformation if a material looks different after an import process has concluded.

    - Known Issues

    • ObjectID / MaterialID exports are not created when Batch Rendering
    • Webstandalone Sky is super low resolution
    • Batch Render does not disable Walk Mode
    • VR is not working

A full list of Bug Fixes and Known Issues can be found contained in the attached document. Please refer to the bug's / issue's associated ID number when contacting Enscape Support in regards to any of the listed items.
