Previous Release / Preview Threads Merged

  • I tried to download the latest preview but couldn't get the page to load properly (the page loads but I can't click on anything, seems like all links/buttons are turned off). I tried two different computers and two different browsers. Is this a glitch or is there an issue on our side?

Thank you, I thought it was just me.

We're currently investigating this behavior accordingly - I am very sorry for the inconvenience and will definitely reply back here once more after this has been resolved. If you still want to acquire the latest preview, you can do via this temporary link here.

This issue has now been resolved. Feel free to acquire our latest Enscape preview through our official page as usual.

  • I was happy that the new preview would fix an old problem - but unfortunately not yet. It would be great if there was also the option to save the type of perspective (perspective or 2-point mode) when saving the viewing angle. Also, in 2-point mode, storing yaw still doesn't work.

It would be nice to not only have the projection mode in the view settings, but also other settings that are typically managed view by view like: Field of View, Depth of Field and as far as I'm concerned even Exposure.

  • Saving Field of View Depth of Field etc is already possible since you can save settings and assign them to the saved views.

Of course, just like you can already save the "perspective projection mode" in that same dialog :)

I thought the point you were making is that it is more convenient to save these things on the camera rather than a 'saved setting' as they tend to vary per view, which at least in our case is triggering many unique saved settings, which reduced the effectiveness of the "make a common setting that you use to manage many views at the same time".

If some of these settings that tend to vary per view would be moved to the view, we could have fewer saved settings which would help us be more effective.

  • There is still issue with shadows settings in Southern Hemisphere Timezone. It’s a bit better now. At least it doesn’t show midnight instead of midday. But still it’s shifted somehow. The model rendered in Version 3.3 or 3.4 preview2 all shadows setting are correct compared same file opened in preview 7

  • Using Rhino 7 and this preview version, whenever a file I am working on gets reopened, Enscape reverts every displacement map back to a bump map. It is a huge time waste having to go back through all the materials and remember which materials are which map type. This does not affect normal maps, and obviously, bump maps are set to their default.

  • Just in case anybody is wondering the asset library issue still exists in this preview.

This should be resolved in Preview 8 as confirmed by other Forum users, so in this case please kindly send us a Feedback report with your log files so that we can investigate this matter further as soon as possible.

Does this version address the problem with VR headsets not working?

As per my reply to you in this thread here, you simply have to install Steam + SteamVR to make use of Enscape VR at the moment. If you stumble or have stumbled upon any problems during the setup process, please let me know.

  • There's some weird issue where my color adjusted material is rendering black. I'll send a report and sample. Also, still having to select the material in the material editor, the enscape editor still comes up blank without the selected material showing up. (material browser not syncing to material selection)

  • Saving the Pitch in the 2-point-perspektive still does not have any effect. it changes always to 0,00°.
    (archicad Plugin)

Pardon the delayed reply _nique , but this behavior has been identified internally and the dedicated fix for it should be coming with release 3.4 rather soon.

EDIT: _nique , I have unfortunately spoken a bit too soon. We fixed a similar behavior for another supported CAD solution, but this, unfortunately, did not have an effect on AC as expected.

But of course, we'll investigate further and I'll let you know once our developers have provided further updates, which should be soon.

  • Hello, I am just wondering or suggesting if on this 3.4 version or perhaps future version, the white mode in style be included as channel when style is set to "NONE" mode. Much better if you can add "AMBIENT OCCLUSION" (AO) channel.

Currently to achieve "AO" effect is to render separately White or Polystyrol mode and blend in photoshop.

When this feature is considered, this will save huge amount of time.

    Thank you!
