Enscape 3.4 New Features and Updates overview:
Categories for the Custom Asset Library
The Categories for the Custom Asset Library allow you to organize and structure your (imported) custom assets. The categories also let you filter for assets so you can find the one you want within a few clicks, providing you a faster workflow. With every category you create, you give it a name and an icon as well.
Save Sun Position in Views
This feature allows you to save your sun position in Enscape views. Prior to this, the sun positions you adjusted (through keyboard shortcuts) would reset whenever you restarted Enscape.
Slider controls and input fields are also provided to easily reproduce specific sun positions for other views:
Update Views
You can now edit the camera position and sun position for existing saved views. Instead of creating new views, you can quickly adjust existing ones, which will save you some additional time.
Interior Design Assets & Materials
With Enscape 3.4 our main focus is on interior design when it comes to the additional newly added Assets & Materials.
While the assets and materials created will be categorized under interior design, they can also be used for non-interior projects and other use cases. Examples include bathroom accessories such as sinks, bathtubs, faucets, and decoration assets for the living room and bedrooms like picture frames, vases, and cushions.
Some Examples:
Improved Reflections
With Enscape 3.4, reflections in windows, interior mirrors, or any other reflective surface will be more complex and show more details by default. On top of that we've also made improvements to our diffuse global illumination system to provide an overall more realistic and natural rendering.
Before and after (improved reflections):
Other features
• Support for Archicad 26
• Support for Chinese (Simplified) language
Known issues
Rhino: Crashes can occur when editing the name and the favorite state of a view at the same time. So ideally when changing the view name, do not adjust anything else alongside for the time being. We want to apologize for this inconvenience and are already busy resolving this behavior as quickly as possible.
