I am very excited for the ability to change materials and colors of assets in 3.5.
Is there a general ETA of version 3.5?

Demian Gutberlet metal & glass reflection in a mirror needs some more love. Impressed by the continuos good progress.
So far render speeds are much improved. Still seem to be slightly slower than 3.4, but well under a minute thankfully. I am seeing crashes on closing out of Enscape and then Sketchup like what was happening a few versions back. (Action: close active Enscape window then exit SU. When I close Sketchup it crashes out instead of exiting the program. Any model changes get lost to the previous save instead of asking if I want to save unsaved changes.) I'll see if I can capture this in a bug report, but not sure if I can.
Even if you submit a feedback report without actively running into this again we should still receive any log files we require to at least let you know why Enscape crashes on your machine - If you could send one in if you haven't yet, please do so as detailed here.

I cannot give a specific release date yet, but you can expect our full release of Enscape 3.5 in about 2-3 months. Beforehand we'll release further previews as well of course.
:эскиз: Demian Gutberlet I've noticed that the 4 3D models are not displayed in real time.
I had version 3.5 preview 9 and I didn't have this error, today I upgraded to version 3.5 preview 11 and now I have the same problem

Thank you! That has already been filed internally and our developers are working on resolving it.

Yeah that sounds great. A general timeline like 2-3 months always helps witheveryone's schedule. Thanks!

I hope that we will have enough opportunity to test the new 'asset override' feature before the new version is released. In the past it happened that a major feature showed up in the last preview release, only to be released a few days after.
Dear Forum Community,
We've just released the latest Enscape v3.5 Preview - Version 12.
NEW:
Improved Indirect Lighting of Semi-transparent Materials
Semi-Transparent materials (with an opacity value > 0.0), such as frosted glass did not receive correct global illumination in the past. With Enscape 3.5 the appearance of these materials will be much improved, giving them a more grounded look in their surroundings as they now receive indirect lighting. This improvement can be observed especially in indoor night scenes.
Before:
After
Asset Drag Selection in the Enscape Window
In the Asset Library mode within the Enscape window, you can now select multiple assets at once. To do this, hold the SHIFT key and drag the mouse.
Revit – Reproducible Orthographic Views
Views with an orthographic camera are now fully reproducible. Previously, when entering an orthographic view, the camera would zoom out to show the entire scene. Now, the exact viewport is stored in a crop region in Revit.
Rhino 7 – Live Updates for Dynamic Changes
When Live Updates are enabled, changes to the project are reflected directly in Enscape even while editing!
UPDATE:
Improved Noise in Mirror Reflections
The previously (Preview 11) mentioned issue with global illumination quality in mirror reflections has been resolved.
VR Improvements
We’ve improved our VR implementation for a smoother head-tracking experience and removed the SteamVR requirement for Oculus (Quest) usage.
BUGFIXES:
Certain Assets Don’t Appear in Enscape
We fixed a problem that caused some assets to not show up in Enscape. However, we are still investigating another problem that also causes a few assets to still not appear in Enscape.
Please refer to this article for instructions on how to download the Preview version.
If you wish to get a full overview of what's been added with Enscape 3.5 Preview 11 and full releases prior, check out this release/preview notes gathering thread here.
Warning: Preview versions are not production-proven, so be aware that there can be issues, and please report any of them back to us either on this thread or via the normal support channels. Doing so will help us with providing an even more stable and reliable product in the future.
Version 3.5.0-preview.12+97341 has a problem when I put ies, it's not getting according to the lighting cone and it's not getting the configuration.

Thank you for the report - Which CAD solution(s) are you using with Enscape and can you please share a few screenshots of this behavior? The IES files I've tried to use seem to be working correctly. So, if possible, feel free to also attach some of your IES files too (after putting them in a .zip file for example).
I've the same problem although I've adjusted the angle of the light source, I'm using Revit 2022.

Display MoreSeems to me that the ies files are there but are not aligned to the fitting corrrectly.
Preview 11 vs Preview 12
Thanks a lot for all the examples - I've forwarded this behavior to our developers accordingly to look into.
Dear enscape team, in the process of using version 3.3-3.4, we always encountered various annoying bugs, such as software lock, flash back, crash and so on. We hope to use stable enough software for our actual project design work in the future

If you experience these issues with our latest preview as well, feel free to also always submit a feedback report to our technical support team. I know you're aware of functionality of course, but frequent amount of crashes are not normal and we'd like to troubleshoot them further. You can also use said feedback report to submit any bugs you still encounter in Preview 12. Thank you tas_1985 .
but frequent amount of crashes are not normal
Fwiw: we've experienced more crashes with every release since 2.9, with 3.4 being the least stable to date. We're trying to report issues as much as we can, but we rarely get any further then 'upgrade your driver and reinstall enscape'. It's very time consuming for us to play that game every time, so we often just give up trying to get to the real root of the problem.
I have to admit I often have a feeling that new releases aren't fully QA/QC'd on large (Revit) models. The sample models you made are great for promotional purposes, but real world projects are often an order of magnitude larger/more complex.
+1 for IES cones not projecting in the correct direction. Submitted a bug report from the render window. Reverted back to the last preview build and it's working correctly.
Using latest SketchUp.
Same problem, the IES cones are projected to a different side than the direction.

Thank you as well. It's filed as a bug internally and I'll keep you posted once I have any updates again.
