  • So I tested it some more and I can live without the eye calibration and just run the headset on SteamVR instead of the VarjoOpenXR engine. The only major problem left with 3.5 are the washed out colors. Does this affect every hearset or just a few? Do you need me to provide any log files or are you able to reproduce it on your end?

From what we have seen it affects all headsets and we have reproduced it internally. It has been scheduled for further investigation and resolution but I don't have something more to share unfortunately.

    Dear Forum Community,

We've just released our latest Enscape Service Pack 3.5.2!

    NEW:

Include Windows Event Logs in Feedback

Users can now choose to include the Windows Event Logs in their Feedback requests. These logs can contain important information written by graphics card drivers or the operating system.

    New Assets and Materials

We released 22 new people assets as well as 161 new adjustable assets in the furniture category. Additionally, we added 16 new wooden materials to our Material Library.

    BUGFIXES:

GI Darkening Over Time in Walkthrough

Indirect illumination could darken over time when the camera remained looking at the same spot. This issue could only be observed with the NVIDIA Denoiser setting turned off (and during walkthrough, not video capturing).

Incorrect Auto-Exposure with ‘Applied Alpha Channel’ Setting
Auto-exposure was too high for renderings in perspectives with a lot of background visible when the ‘Apply Alpha Channel’ setting was active.

    Missing/Incorrect shadows when switching views

In views with an explicit sun position, sometimes the shadows were not correct after switching the views. This has been fixed.

Rhino – Fixed Enscape Startup Time Performance Degradation
Previously, projects with many material assignments caused the Enscape start to be extremely slow.

Revit – Fixed Not Being Able to Place Adjustable Assets in Older Projects

Previously, when trying to place an adjustable Asset in a project where that asset had been placed in an older Enscape version, an error message was displayed. This has been fixed.

To see what has been added with release 3.5 itself please check out this thread here instead.

If any questions or further feedback arises, please let us know via this thread or by creating a new one.

  • <3 Я очень рад и благодарен за выход новинок

Пожалуйста, добавьте в 3D-библиотеку пару 3D-моделей, которые есть на фото

Unfortunately 3.5.2 doesn't fix the over-exposure / everything beeing too bright bug that is present in VR mode. Is there any workaround other than downgrading? Currently I am dialing down the expose setting manually, but things get a bit dark then.

We'll provide a fix for that issue in the next service pack release soon. Unfortunately it didn't make it into the 3.5.2.

  • :sketchup:Demian Gutberlet Hello, dear, please tell me what happened to the library yesterday it worked fine, and today I reinstalled the program, downloaded it from the site, deleted the old version, installed the new one, but the library does not work 3.5.2

:sketchup:Demian Gutberlet Hello, dear, please tell me what happened to the library yesterday it worked fine, and today I reinstalled the program, downloaded it from the site, deleted the old version, installed the new one, but the library does not work 3.5.2

Could you kindly try to un-check and check the "Offline Asset Library" option to see if that makes any difference?

If not, please try to also force re-acquire the library by deleting the folder "%temp%\Enscape\Assets" and restart Enscape accordingly.

You can also find said folder via this path instead: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp\Enscape\Assets\.

Should that not help, please also submit us a feedback report with log files (ideally with some brief context in the submission form) and let me know once you've done so please.

  • Dear Forum Community,

    We've just released Enscape 3.5.3 Preview 1!

    NEW:

    V-Ray Scene Export (Beta)

You can now export your views to V-Ray scenes via a new button in the Renderer toolbar. The feature is work in progress and has some limitations. To illustrate the current state, here's an example of a view rendered with Enscape and V-Ray, respectively.

    Enscape:

    V-Ray:

    Color in Ray-Traced Sun Shadows

When Ray-Traced Sun Shadows are enabled, semi-transparent geometry is now casting shadows with the opacity and tint color contributing to the appearance of the shadow. This feature is a work in progress.

    NVIDIA Shadow Denoiser

This new feature is available when Ray-Traced Sun Shadows are enabled and reduces noise in the edges of the sun shadows during movement. The feature is disabled by default and can be enabled in the General Settings window.

    Vectorworks 2024 Beta Support

  • I don't know Why Enscape doesn't support cosmos models till now, Enscape is feeding V-ray to improve and we can't see any benefit from V-ray to Enscape till now

I believe that the path that chaos wants to take is starting to be clear. To Create a bridge between fast and rough visualization (Enscape) and quality rendering (vray). I think we can abandon the idea that Enscape might try to compete with D5 or Twinmotion (or even the latest Lumion) because Chaos simply doesn't want to take away from Vray's appeal.

I'm afraid those looking for a decent compromise between speed and quality need to start looking elsewhere.

Comparing D5, Twinmotion and Lumion development to Enscape you're totally Right.

    for me Enscape is dying.

    check this!!

D5 render in one service release come with 35 new feature! in 3 Months.

No body cares about 2 or 3 minutes speed difference for still images between render software but we care about the features that make us save tons of hours!

Did you compare D5 adjustable animated assets, Animation and camera features, light features like Gop and stage lights animation and customization, importing ABC animation and much more to Enscape? All these feature for sure will cost more time in rendering but will make the renders more professionals on the other hand.

By the way D5 and twinmotion are based on UE 5 and they are implementing 5.3 version with Lumen and when this happens they will becom more faster than Enscape itself !

    I'm complaining because I care.

I care about Enscape development and I see the other render engines killing it slowly specially after being part of chaos, They are dedicating Enscape resources for serving vray.

It's on the public roadmap, but only for "feedback wanted" and not "in development" so probably some time off still. I would have thought this would be higher priority to get everything working more seamlessly and been a day 1 release along with the Enscape --> Vray functionality. As an Enscape user solely, I see a fairly large value in potentially having access to Cosmos assets.
