Enscape 3.3 not rendering textures in Rhino 7

Hi,

I have a rendering emergency. After updating Enscape to version 3.3 this morning, Enscape no longer renders any materials in the scene. Only Enscape assets show materials and the rest of the scene shows as all white. All of the scene materials are still present in the model and show in the Rhino view port and Enscape material editor but do not render. How can I resolve this? I tried closing the model and restarting the computer. I am using Enscape 3.3 with Rhino 7.

System:

Win 10 pro

Intel Core i7 10875H @ 2.3GHz 8 core

32 GB ram

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super

Thanks for the report rbourraine , we are currently looking into this issue and multiple users have reported it already.

My questions for further troubleshooting purposes since we haven't been able to reproduce this internally yet:

Does this occur with any of your existing projects, and if you perhaps have the chance to test, also inside of Rhino 6? If it only occurs with a specific project, let us know, and if there is a chance to share it, I'll provide you with an upload link to transfer the files confidentially. Same applies if this occurs in any scene, we'd love to have a definite example to try.

Demian Gutberlet yes it also occurs in Rhino 6 and with every single projects both in Rhino 6 and Rhino 7. Also happens both with Rhino-based and Enscape materials.

Currently it is occurs in varying degrees on other existing models. When I open another Rhino 7 projects only some of the textures/ materials show. I dont have Rhino 6 to try it out there.

Also, having this issue in Rhino 7. At first I thought it was a worksession problem (which has been an issue in the past), but the same thing happens in a singular model. It is not consistently white materials though, some do show, either correct colour, transparency, or bump mapping, but most of the material shows as white. I don't have time to troubleshoot or submit a comprehensive error report right now so reverting back to an older version for my deadline.

Enscape version: 3.3.0+74199

Rhino 7 SR16 2022-3-8 (Rhino 7, 7.16.22067.13001)

Windows 10.0.19043 SR0.0 or greater

(Physical RAM: 80Gb)

Primary display and OpenGL: NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 (NVidia) Memory: 15GB, Driver date: 5-6-2021 (M-D-Y). OpenGL Ver: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 462.59

Whenever you have time please feel free to still submit a Feedback report as we'll also receive the corresponding logs generated by 3.3, even if you've reinstalled 3.2 again afterward. Thank you.

I had the same issue but found that it was connected to setting the materials onto layers and having objects set to "use layer material". Applying the same materials directly to the objects fixed the issue for me.

Just in case since it can't hurt, please also submit a Feedback report including your log files.

At first I thought the Style was set to White or Polystyrol? But the plants and people models showed correct color/texture. Toggling between White and None (in Style) had no effect.

Reverting to preview version fixed it.

Materials assigned by layer is broken in version 3.3. It works just if you assign materials per object. This needs to get fixed ASAP

Also working when working withworksessions if you update a worksession in Rhino it causes enscape to bug out and turn materials white. Only solution I have found is to restart rhino. Hope this gets fixed, it's been years.

Please also kindly submit a Feedback report each if you haven't done so for further troubleshooting purposes. Even if you've reverted to our last preview, we'll still get the logs produced by 3.3.

We have also now found a fix for this problem which will be implemented with our upcoming Service Pack next Wednesday. Feel free to revert to 3.2 temporarily if required in the meantime.

Hi, same issue for me, with rhino 6 and also Revit, no texture.

The only way to get a texture on object is to apply material directly on it (screenshot in attachment)

I go back to 3.2 hoping Enscape team will fix this !
