I've sent you a more detailed response to the submitted report. These "workarounds" may take a few moments to implement but should ultimately improve the experience in VR as well.
I just sent in a note about this topic. I had to drop back to 3.2 as VR was not detecting our Oculus Quest - has this been resolved?
Just heard back - I need to install SteamVR. I'll give this a go later in the week.

The experience should be improved nonetheless with Steam+SteamVR (better performance overall), even though an external application is being used alongside of course. If you still run into any odd behavior, let me know though.
With steam+steamVr and virtual desktop the movements are smooth now.
I can walk with my left thumbstick, but can't rotate my view with the right thumbstick. I have to rotate my head.
On a (xbox look-a-like) gamecontroller is works perfect.
Is that a bug, or can i override the thumbfunctions? In the virtual desktop on the oculus the settings looks ok.

I'd also like to know this. It doesn't feel intuitive not being able to rotate. I get sick in the current control scheme.
