Agree. This would a good feature.
Current 'workaround' is setting up multiple paths in one go with zero seconds between them. Then render the whole and edit out the jumps from one path to another.

haven't tried editing the xml file. Just use the enscape editor and setup different camerapositions for the different paths and make the time between paths 0 seconds.

yep. Just edit them out

In many cases we need different settings for each path, so the workaround presented here would not be useable.
(Very much appreciate the tip though!)
We really need a way to save model states and render settings per view or path, and a way to render them in sequence.

Please add this feature.
We currently are rendering multiple paths of the same area with slight differences so we can use a video edited to fade between multiple options. This current project I'm working on has 5 options. This would allow us to send all of those walkthroughs over night instead of babysitting a computer waiting for it to finish to send the next option.
