Which CAD solution are you using?
Depending on that you can set up section boxes or section cuts to reduce the size of the scene generally. If the project is on the larger side, you may also consider exporting multiple standalones showing different parts.
You can also check the scene for any overly high-resolution textures, anything above 2k-4k is usually not necessary. The same applies to a custom .HDR (360-degree image file) which you may have imported, if it's 8k-16k in resolution size, you may want to find a smaller version of it.
If that doesn't help, can you let me know how large the scene generally is, and perhaps also share a screenshot of it?
