Is it possible to add an item to the custom asset library from SKP format or do we need to first export to FBX format?

VStudio , you can of course always import any of your SKP format scenes/files as a dedicated proxy (linked model), but it's currently not possible to import them into the Custom Asset Library directly. Feel free to forward your voice of course through our portal too though.

Seems a little silly that SKP isn't already a supported format. Not just for SketchUp users, but imagine being able to use any of the models from 3D Warehouse in Revit or any of the other modeling apps via SKP.

FYI You can export to FBX , OBJ and GLTF from SketchUp.
Sorry, just realised you'd said that in the first post.

This seems silly though. Most of us have thousands of SKP files. Having SKP import through the Custom Asset library would be HUGE for all users, not just SketchUp.

I use a sketchup component library as a workaround, but it sure would be nice to have Sketchup assets directly importable through the Enscape library.

+1, of course...
