SketchUp 2023 Mac

REMINDER! If you encounter any issues with Enscape (e.g. crashes, installation problems) or your subscription please reach out to our dedicated support team directly through the Help Center or by using the Support button as detailed HERE! Thank you for your understanding.
  • Thanks for the question Bill - Our upcoming update for Mac has indeed been rescheduled to come out around the end of this month instead of end of August. We required a bit further development time but there really shouldn't be any further delays at this point.

Looking forward to the update at the end of the month, are you still on schedule? As we can't update to the latest version of Sketchup this update is more pressing than ever.

Looking forward to the update at the end of the month, are you still on schedule? As we can't update to the latest version of Sketchup this update is more pressing than ever.

We had to delay the official release a final time for some final fixes and quality of life improvements. You are already able to acquire version 2.0 here, but we cannot fully guarantee yet that there won't be any problems, so if you wish to try it with SketchUp 2023.1 and do have the time to re-install the previous version if running into any issues please feel free.

You can expect the official announcement and further updated version including bugfixes in around less than two weeks.

Please bear in mind that this update is only compatible with M1/M2 based models at this point and we do not reccomend upgrading otherwise.

    Thanks,

I did install this unfortunately, the bump, reflections, and any other additional maps don't load, I would advise not updating for now unless you have time to modify all your textures in all your models. Currently trying to uninstall. Unfortunately the plugin isn't located in the plugin folder if you know were it is please let me know.

  • Hello arcgraphics

Could fyou please give more details on what and how exactly does not work? You can't select bump/reflections/etc. maps, or do you specify them and they make no difference in the viewport?

    Thank you.

  • Hi Alexander,

When I open a model created in the previous version of Enscape in the updated Enscape-2.0.0.302 all materials load but only the albedo textures maps load, all other maps i.e. height maps, normal maps, reflections and transparency maps and associated settings do not load into the material. If you are able to tell me how to remove the current version I will reinstall the old version for now until this issue is resolved.

Managed to find the relevant Enscape-2.0.0.302 files myself and deleted them. Installed Enscape-1.1.21+937 all textures now working as expected i.e. all maps load into the materials. I also had issues with Enscape-2.0.0.302 bombing with large models another reason I reverted back to a previous version. I will hold off for a more stable version before updating.

Texture maps in materials that have been created in earlier Enscape versions should now remain connected when opened with 2.0.1.72 - please give it a try and let me know if it works fine arcgraphics

  • Hi Kaj,

Installed the new version, materials are working great large models load without any problems. A marked improvement in the live render time when moving around the model, and dare I say it much more stable. Well done.

I will let you know if I find anything untoward.

    • 1.Real-time rendering doesn't work when importing a monolithic model from outside
    • 2.When using curic's dio extrusion plugin, the realtime rendering doesn't work when the model is changed, whereas sketchup's own push/pull feature recognizes and renders in realtime
    • 3.After re-importing the model to enscape rendering, the overall scene becomes brighter, not the actual effect.
  • @Kaj Burival @Alexander Devaykin Hello developers, here are the bugs I've found while using this release,The version number is 2.0.1.72.

    • 1.In the material editor, you need to suck the material twice to show the editing interface of the corresponding material.
    • 2.During real-time rendering of a scene file, importing an external monolithic model will invalidate the real-time rendering and prevent the entire real-time rendering from proceeding.
    • 3.When using curic's dio extrusion plugin, the realtime rendering doesn't work when the model is changed, whereas sketchup's own push/pull feature recognizes and renders in realtime
    • 4.When you click on the "Start Enscape" button without closing the enscape interface, the whole rendering interface will be brightened, which is not the real effect. If you close the enscape interface and click the button again, the whole rendering interface will brighten up, which is not a real effect.

I hope this will help you to better improve the product's functionality, and thank you to the developers for their efforts!

  • Hi,

When is The Video Editor coming into the Mac version of Enscape? I was hoping it would have been in the latest updates. Or are we still having to use the screenshot app on Mac?

    Thanks

There is no specific release date or such I could share yet, but we'll certainly be offering further updates in the near future, adding more and more missing functionalities like the video editor of course.
