VR issues

  • Hi I have an Oculus Quest 2 that I have been able to use with Enscape but only via AirLink. I am trying to set up a walk through at work and my workstation does not have wifi. I "could" copy my Revit files to my laptop but that just seem like a big extra step. I have the air link cable and my son has used it on his pc with the Oculus and it works fine. I have tested the connection, installed Steam and Steam VR, updated everything, uninstalled, reinstalled, and have the latest version of everything. If I just use Oculus directly with Enscape it just keeps searching for the headset. Through Steam VR, my monitor will, on occasion, be in the VR but it does not show up in the headset. I can sometimes get "Enscape3D up next" or Enscape3D waiting".

Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to give up! I have read many threads all over the internet too but none seem to help me.

    I'm sorry to hear that.

Right away, using our latest release Enscape 3.5 now you will not require Steam + SteamVR anymore, so I definitely advice upgrading to that version if you haven't yet and proceeding with the un-installation of SteamVR (or ensuring it's not running in the background with Steam), while making sure that the Oculus runtime app is up and running in the background and also updated to its latest version ideally.

That should already do the trick and even if you're using the Quest 2 with a cable connected to your machine it should work. If not at all still, please submit us a feedback report with logs, which should then help us with troubleshooting this even further.

Thank you in advance for any further replies or feedback.
