Request for Future Update: Point Cloud Import and Visualization in Revit

  • Hello everyone,

I've been using Enscape in Revit for some time now and I'm really pleased with its real-time visualization capabilities for architectural models. However, I would like to inquire if there are any plans for a future update that includes the import and visualization of point clouds.

As a scan to bim modeler, I believe this feature would be extremely valuable for the "BIM" aspect and quality control of the model. Being able to navigate through the model and quickly identify modeling issues and precision would be a significant advantage. Additionally, the ability to create BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) on the fly to document these issues would be highly practical.

I understand that developing such a feature might be challenging, but I think it would set Enscape apart from many competitors. Currently, Enscape offers unparalleled visualization smoothness and a delightful user experience, which makes it my preferred solution for architectural visualization.

I would greatly appreciate it if the Enscape team could provide us with any insights on the possibility of including this feature in future updates.

    Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for your feedback.

While we are aware of the demand for this, there is currently no ETA I can provide in terms of when this will be implemented I'm afraid due to various reasons.

But, you can still gladly forward this inquiry to product management as well using our roadmap portal through your voice. We appreciate all the input we can get, and this allows us to track these and any other requests further.

Let me know if any additional questions come up.
