Back screen immediatly when i start to use Enscape

Please cast your votes in our two ongoing feedback polls here and here!
  • Hi,

We experiment a problem with inscape when we use it in revit or in sketchup.

So, immediatly after we move the render or immediatly after we put it in full screen, we have a black screen. The computer is totaly blocked. I'm forced to push the power button to restart it....

I'm sure the graphic card driver AMD fire pro W7100 is up to date. I have desactivated in Bios the onboard intel graphic card and deleted the driver of this intel card.

The processor is intel core i7-7700 with 32 GB of RAM and a SSD Drive.

    Any idea??

Many thanks to the enscape team for the help.

  • charles , thank you for your post and welcome to our forum. ;)

Please be so very kind as to send us feedback via the Feedback button which you'll find in either the Enscape ribbon of Revit, or in the Enscape context menu/toolbar of SketchUp. Also, be so kind as to add your forum name in the feedback submission form so that we can connect the provided report with this post.

Thank you in advance! I'm looking forward to resolving this problem.

  • Hi Curiouss... Was this Black Screen problem resolved?

At the time I was experimenting with the Trial Version, kept getting this at some point.

  • Hey Jimdee , welcome to our forum. In this case, could you please send us some feedback as described above? :) That would be very helpful. Also, if you haven't already, please make sure that you're using the latest drivers for your graphics card as this may already help with resolving this behavior.

  • I'm experiencing this problem now myself. I'm using the W7100 AMD Firepro GPU, latest Enscape, latest AMD driver. 32GB Ram, WIN10 64Bit. Fortunately my laptop which is of lesser capacity doesn't suffer this problem, so I can use it in the meantime. But I've been struggling with my PC with this problem for months. I'm on the verge of replacing the GPU but not sure it will solve the problem. I've sent in error/log report to support...just waiting on feedback. Has anyone sorted this out? I'm able to start Enscape (using Revit), move around the model and then without any warning--black screen and no response. I have to totally power down and restart. I've tried to capture the problem with TechPowerUp GPU-Z 2.21.0 but I don't really know what to look for in the log file (if anything will tell). I have made no adjustments or updates to the motherboard/bios; no overclocking, etc.

Any ideas or suggestions?? Was a solution found for the OP?

    Thanks in advance!

Edited once, last by mw4: FWIW, GPU-Z Sensor Log showed last reading (presumably at the point of the error/failure) of GPU Temp at 91 deg C...is that problematic? GPU Clock topped out at 918.3 Mhz, GPU Load at 100%. Other data there, too, if any of it is meaningful... ().
