enscape trial greyed out in revit 2024

  • Hello,

I am trying to evaluate enscape for our office however in revit 2024 the tab appears but all the buttons are greyed out in 3d views. We have version 3.5 installed and have tried restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling. We have tried multiple revit models as well but nothing will work. Can you help?

KevinMooreArch , I am sorry to hear about that.

Just perchance a previous version of Enscape had been installed on that machine prior, thus effectively using up the 14 days of trial time? If so or in any case really, please reach out to our support team via the Help Center as detailed in the following post to request another two weeks for testing: How do I contact Support? - News & FAQ - Enscape Community Forum

Ideally also share your "Machine fingerprint" alongside with our support team which you can find by clicking on the "Enscape Account" button and then heading into the "Licenses" tab to view and copy the following code of yours:

This code will be required to directly reset your trial time, or otherwise check what else could be going wrong here. Thank you in advance for the cooperation.

I'm sorry but where is the enscape account button?

Pardon, I could've made this part even more clear, but this is how you can locate said button to click on in the Enscape ribbon on the very right, to head into the licensing tab for the machine fingerprint to share if you haven't already:

Once again thanks a lot in advance for your cooperation!

  • Hi Demian Gutberlet

I've got this issue with Revit 2024 and the full license. This is the first time trying Enscape with Revit 2024, everything to do with Enscape is greyed out in the default 3D view (image below).

I've just upgraded to version 3.5.5+122071 and it works fine in Sketchup 2023 and in Revit 2023.

I'd just use Revit 2023 but the model I need to access was created in 2024 and Revit is not backwards compatible....

    Many thanks for any assistance.

BarryFishFinger , I'm sorry to hear about that.

Right away, please kindly try to fully re-install Enscape 3.5.5 on that machine while following these steps closely:

    - Navigate to Add/Remove programs in Windows.

    - Uninstall Enscape by using the 'Uninstall' button

    - Following the completion of the uninstall, please delete the following directories:

    C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Enscape

    C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Enscape

    C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp\Enscape

    C:\Program Files\Enscape

After a system restart, please download our most recent installer and install Enscape again here.

During installation, please use the adjustment options to install "for all users" as detailed here and restart the PC once again after that.

If that makes no difference what so ever please also submit us a feedback report with logs as detailed here.

In case you are unable to submit said report, for example in case you do not have access to Revit or SketchUp 2023 anymore, please kindly submit us your log files manually:

    Enscape main plugin log files:

    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Enscape\Data\Logs

    as well as:

    Revit plugin log files:

    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\Enscape\Logs\EnscapeRevitPlugin

You can just package them up in a .zip file and ideally submit them through a fresh Help Center request as detailed here, with some brief added context as to why you're submitting them in the first place - Let me know as well once sent in please and thanks a lot in advance.

Last but not least, one user with the same issue stated that he they "have managed to rebuild the machine and now Enscape is installed and working fine." Unfortunately we do not know what exactly this rebuilding entails, so your cooperation is appreciated here.

Following up on this... the entire encape tab in revit is grayed out including the account button so I can't access that

Allow me to copy part of my previous response which applies here as well:
