Only problem with this method, that I found, is that face-me components are not able to catch up emissive properties (idk am I right? Well I wasn't able to do so)

Thanks. It's one of our goals for 2.9 to implement animated textures, but we cannot make promises when it comes to the exact time yet - still, this would allow for a nice fire effect in the future non-the-less.

Added. Be aware, that we want to implement animated textures anyway, it may just take until 2.9 or upward until this is available.

Out of curiosity: how is this going to be handled with Revit? With the other solutions you have the Enscape material editor in which I imagine you could any features you want, but in Revit the material editor will not accept mp4 or whatever as a texture. Does this mean animated textures are not going to be supported?
Maybe that's not the end of the world when we have a solid custom asset workflow, because we could use those as a workaround.

I am not sure yet how we're gonna handle it when it comes to Revit, but I'm pretty sure there'll be a way and that it's not just available for all solutions besides Revit.

It may be a few months until 2.9 is released - we're just about to release 2.8 first in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the upvote, I'll forward it accordingly. Be aware that we also now support animated textures, so this may be a good workaround until we add something like a fire effect ourselves.
