Hi,

I also use Rhino 6 and I had grass. Is it on a surface or solid?
Hey mrd , welcome to our forum! I'm sorry to hear about this problem.
First off, are you using our latest release? If so, and you still experience this behavior, could you please send me the corresponding project for troubleshooting purposes? That would be very helpful, thank you in advance.
I am using the latest release. It looks like this.
It won't let me upload a rhino file to this thread.
See the error below.
Hey mrd , thank you for the screenshot.
I'm afraid, the short grass rendering distance is currently a known issue which we'll resolve as soon as possible.
Just to make sure you're aware, you can also use the keywords Wild Grass, Tall Grass, Short Grass instead of Grass to change the length/look of your grass.
Finally, you mentioned that no grass appears, but in the screenshot it's visible, so should you have any further questions regarding this subject please let me know.
Please forgive me to put my query on this post. I have another query about grass displaysment on 2.4 version(on rhino). I cannot find the seetting to adjust grass height. And I realize that the grass stop show as grass when it goes to a certain distance. It looks quite wierd when I am rendering a park with a large area of grass. You can see the clear boundary between grass and texture image.
I wonder if the render distance of grass is adjustable?
Many thanks,
JACK.Z , you cannot directly change the grass height (through a slider for example), but you can also make use of the keywords short grass, grass, wild grass and tall grass. Short grass has the lowest height, tall grass the highest. So in terms of height its short grass < grass < wild grass < tall grass. Would you like to have a further dedicated option to change the height?
As mentioned in my reply above, the short grass distance is currently a known problem which we'll resolve as soon as possible! After this has been resolved, the grass rendering distance will be back to normal. Would you still like the ability to manually set the render distance of grass (which is currently not possible)?
I see, I thought I heard somebody said that the grass height is adjustable. But it is OK if it is not. Just think it would be great to have this parameter ...
I think the prevous setting is better... I don't think we can achieve anything by setting the grass rendering distance. Of course it saves rendering time but it looks strange in most cases.
