    Attention: If you've installed a prior Preview of Enscape for Mac 4.0, using a custom directory, there's a crucial step to ensure a smooth transition to our latest release without removing any additional vital data from your Mac.

    Firstly, locate the file named /var/log/chaos_installs. In this file, you may find two entries beginning with Enscape. Here's an example:

    Code
    Enscape=/Library/Chaos/Enscape/uninstall/installer.app/Contents
    Enscape=[UN]/Library/Chaos/Enscape/uninstall/installer.app/Contents/MacOS/installer.bin -uninstallApp="Enscape" -log="/Library/Chaos/Enscape/uninstall/install.log"

    Keep in mind, the default installation directory for Enscape (/Chaos/Enscape) is safe. However, if you've installed Enscape directly into system folders like /Applications or /Library, it becomes crucial to delete these two rows - By doing so, you safeguard against accidental deletion of system folders in case Enscape was installed in one prior.

    In case you still experience any additional problems please let us know right away.
