Workaround: setup you scene with lights at night time (set global brightness at a high value, so that you need low light intensities). Now change to daytime and enable automatic brightness. Your lights should be to low to visible now.

Thanks for your inquiry. As mentioned in the other thread you've posted, I've happily added your feedback to the existing topic!
A neat little work around that I've been doing, as far as post production wise, is creating two sets of lights. One set with a light source and illuminated center; One set with no light source and no illumination.
Create and render a scene with light set 1.
Render same scene with light set 2.
Overlap the scenes and dissolve the two scenes into each other and you get a nice little dimming effect.
Again, that would be for like a video product instead of real time product.
What is stopping you putting the light sets into a layer within the model and turning them on/off by turning that layer on/off?
You could also just zoom the 'artificial light brightness' setting up/down from the Enscape settings tab.
... Personally I would like to make a light switch within the model a 'hotspot' that could be clicked on to toggle specific lights on/off (Or technically define the visibility of each of the current layer set - just put the lights on a specific layer)
