Camera won't stop moving

  • Hi Sean, yes I do, 3D mouse, but this has happened even with the device turned off. This was the first thing I checked as I thought the device was faulty at one point. I can investigate and test your other queries regarding switched windows and look forward to 2.7! thanks for the reply.

  • Most of the people in our office are having the same problem, camera flying out of the model or day/night setting rolling without being able to stop it. It seems to occur when we click back into the Enscape window (from Revit), although it also happens that the camera is already flying as soon as the Enscape window opens up. There seems to be no consistency on when it happens except the fact that it is mostly when we click back into the Enscape window. My colleague Viktoryia has already contacted the Enscape team with that issue (viktoriya@bspn.com.au) in Feb. 2019. This issue is still occuring and very disturbing and time wasting as the only way to fix it is to close Enscape and re open, or even close Revit altogether and re open.

Some of us are using wireless keyboards and mouses, but I am not and I am still having this issue a few times a day.

We are downloading a software to record what is happening on our screens when this happens. I will send as soon as we get a grab of one of those occurrences.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

  • damo3 - It might be that you will need to uninstall the driver for that device. Can you please try that to see if that resolves the issue for you?

laurence_cle - this is indeed a bug that has been very hard to just reproduce reliably, as you have also found yourselves, and unfortunately this makes it very difficult to find a solution for. Recording the screen may help, and if you can find steps that result in the issue being reproducible, then that can also be helpful.

The only thing we can advise at the present time, is again, in relation to 3rd party peripheral devices and their drivers, in that you should try uninstalling these.

  • This happened to me also. Turned out it was an Xbox controller that I didn't even realize was connected! The controller's joystick has drift and was moving the Enscape camera.

Welcome to our forum and thanks for your experience with that behavior! :) glad to hear you were able to resolve it.

  • Experiencing the exact same problem here. But on Enscape for Mac. It's happened about 20x since installing. Only fix is to exit Enscape and restart. Clearly this has been an ongoing issue for a long time. Is there still no fix?

  • Hi suguru

It was fixed on Windows a long time ago and seems to have become an issue on Mac now because window system on Mac is different and all the input handling had to be implemented again. We are aware of this problem, thank you for reporting.
