How to relink proxy

I noticed that the link in a proxy model uses the absolute filepath to the underlying model which is displayed in Enscape.

Is there a way to edit the filepath and filename of the underlying model?

The ability to edit the filepath and filename would (i) allow moving a proxy library to another location and (ii) to quickly make proxies with small variations. So for example I have a proxy of a red chair and I want to add the same chair in blue and yellow.
