Problems with the exe export

  • I sent the Enscape file to my structural engineer to have him look at the building we are working on. His text (please excuse his use of caps)

    THANKS.
THIS DOES NOT RUN ON WINDOWS XP. TRIED IT ON COMPUTER RUNNING WINDOWS 7, GOT ERROR MESSAGE THAT NVIDIA GRAPHICS CARD WAS NOT SUPPORTED.
LOOKS LIKE EVERYTHING ON HARDWARE/ SOFTWARE MUST BE VERY CURRENT TO GET THIS TO WORK ON THE RECEIVING END.

I also sent it to the client who cannot get it to run on his computer either. His is six months old.

It runs fine on my box. So, did I miss the computer needed to view the exe as presented in the sales pitch? I didn't realize one needed a graphics box for this exe to work. It was a great idea to send to clients, unless they don't have a strong enough box to run it.

With that said, it is a great option to be able to share. Can I get some guidance on what my clients will need to view the exe file correctly?

Hey Robertpolk , thanks a lot for your post, I'm sorry to hear the Enscape standalone file could not be viewed by your structural engineer and client.

Since the Enscape Standalone file provides the exact same experience and quality as within the main Enscape software itself, it also requires the same System Specifications including a 64-bit Windows OS, Windows 7 or later, and an OpenGL 4.2-compatible graphics card.

If these conditions are being met, the reason for a standalone file not running is almost always an outdated graphics card driver. In this case, please make sure both update their graphics card driver for the machine they are wanting to run the Enscape Standalone file on. This will drastically increase the chances of Enscape being able to run. :) Thanks a lot for your cooperation!

Furthermore, should your structural engineer or client not have a suitable machine to run our .exe Standalones, then I can recommend you send him a corresponding Web Standalone instead (click here for a Web Standalone sample). The web standalone can only run if the browser they're using is WebGL 2 compatible. As such, the web standalone will not be able to run in Internet Explorer or Edge; we recommend using Chrome or Firefox.

Let me know in case something is unclear to you. :)
