Forwarded as well.

+1 Would be so helpful to push the renders and vegetation to the next level
-
+1 (for Sketchup also)

Until then there is this free SketchUp plugin:
SketchUp plugin to convert components to low poly version which works with Enscape.

Another upvote for custom proxies in Rhino!
Thanks a lot!

Adding your upvotes, thanks a heap.

Upvoted through your voice and through v-cube , as mentioned though, please be aware that this function may not be coming with our next update just yet.
I'm surprised there's no Linked Object option. It's really like Rhino Enscape version is not a high priority to Enscape unfortunately. I wish I could upvote more than once.

Custom assets are now on the roadmap and I imagine (correct me if I'm wrong Demian Gutberlet ) they will roll it out to all Enscape flavors at the same time?
In the mean time, for what it's worth, this workaroundto create custom assets works in all Enscape flavors that have the asset library (Sketchup, Rhino, Revit, ...)

Oh my, thank you so much. I had no idea there was such thing. I will definitely try it very soon.

Any updates on linked object please? It's really challenging to use Enscape in lieu of Vray, solely because of lack of proxy. Anyone working in large models with a lot of entourage will understand. Pieter's solution is great, but it takes way too much time to create custom Enscape library objects one by one, practically not a viable option in the middle of the project.

I agree with the above. Any timeline on low-poly proxy / Linked model feature in Rhino? Every triangle counts in these big architectural projects whether it's a commonly used library asset or a more unique one-off high poly item. Or would this question be better posed to the McNeel forums?
Thanks!

Thanks, everyone for the further feedback - I can understand that this is still a valuable feature in the end even with our custom asset library being implemented now. At the moment at least there are no plans to add this soon, just so you are aware, but every vote is being counted as always.

+1 adding my vote
would love for Rhino to get some love...

+1
but also for lighting as well, Rhino feels like partial version of Enscape without them

Can’t emphasize enough that Rhino is being neglected too much.
