Is there a way to preview a film starting from a specific keyframe ?

That would be great! +1 for some refinements to the video editor functionality.

I've been editing the .xml files in smaller sections to work around the difficulty of editing longer videos, but that gets time-consuming too because I have to renumber the keyframes, and add up the timestamp values when I combine the xml files.

press "P" for preview in selected frame. it saved me tons of time after I spent hours reviewing videos from the beginning after every little change

andybot and JSANDERS , as has been mentioned, you can currently already head into any keyframe and simply press "P" to start your preview from there, but, if you'd still like to see a feature implemented to further help with usability regarding this, please let me know what you're imagining!

I think perhaps some kind of tooltip or something in the GUI that indicates the option. It's a basic and essential feature and it feels "hidden" right now.

Totally agree with you guys. We want to at least add it as a "tip of the day", but I think we should maybe make it even more obvious that this functionality exists. It would also be great if we could "Render from Here" I have had instances where I am trying to fix a glitch that happens at x seconds / minutes into an animation. Preview doesnt show the exact same output as rendering. In order to test if it is fixed one must currently rerender the entire segment.

OMG, so glad I just found this after starting from the beginning so many times! Agrees, something more obvious like a "scrubbing" wheel to move back and fourth within the Preview would be awesome. Hidden gems like this in programs are great, except for being hidden.

its not clear on the interface that you can do this.

also it would be helpful to have the mini map show in the videos. my client cant read plans so having the mini map helps him understand his space.

ollie_v33 , it's visible as a tip of the day, but you are right, it was not really obvious otherwise!

We have reworked our video editor in our latest preview now and the big update will be released with Enscape 3.0 then of course. It's now easier to simply start your preview from any of the keyframes even without having to press a button. Feel free to check the preview out yourself of course! That version is completely free and can be used with your existing subscription.
