would be great to have the ability to add "round edges" to materials. It really makes an amazing difference in realism and detail.
here is how Corona Renderer does it:

+1 I would use this all the time on interior images
... impressive indeed - does this only affect the rendering (somehow like Twilight does it)) or even the geometry itself?

Thank you all very much for the feedback. There is already a corresponding feature request for this subject on our agenda - I've happily added +5 up-votes to the topic through your voices!
If you do this, please also make it also available for Revit. So not exclusive to only applications that have a dedicated Enscape material editor.
That would speed up the workflow. Count me in.

Thanks annevanzwol and tas_1985 , +2 to the topic!

Gladly added your votes (+3), thanks a lot for the feedback!
I also use this regularly and it would be nice to implement in enscape if/when possible.
Not to burst anyone's bubble but both unity and unreal have had this feature request for some time and it appears to be impossible with current gpu tech. Perhaps once real time raytracing is implemented it will be.
Lumion has this feature already, so it's definitely doable for real-time applications. Unlike in Corona however, Lumion doesn't actually modify the geometry at all, it just fakes it via normal maps (I think). It's quite effective still though, and really adds a ton of realism.
Its always a fake... even in vray, etc. Did not know about that feature in Lumion. Thanks.

I use 'round corner/edges' in Vray & Lumion. It is a nice quick option to add realism without extra modeling.
