Skybox and background image

  • Keep in mind when using this method... For print or 4k output if you want your background at full resolution (ie not blurry) depending on your camera fov you will need a panorama that is at least 16000 pixels wide (90 fov = 4 x ~4000 ) For a narrower fov it could be as high as 32000 or so. So if you want a custom background for high res output, it may be more practical to just do it in post. If you are only doing screen res ( or blurry backgrounds work for you) the panorama approach can be done with less resolution.

  • I'm using Enscape 2.7 version. I'm not sure if this is latest version? But can someone please let

me know where is the SKY? CLOUDS?

Under atmosphere/ skybox menu, I have downloaded and loaded the HDR file from Ensacpe and nothing shows up in my view?

Welcome to our Forum and thanks for your question! :)

Please keep in that mind that once you've loaded in an HDR file as a skybox, you will not have our Enscape sky nor the clouds available, since both are replaced by the custom skybox itself. Also, if there is no particular reason you're using 2.7, feel free to upgrade to 2.9 as well. You can also make use of one of our horizon presets, this way you can still have clouds and the Enscape sky.
