Hi
I am trying to create a surface which is translucent. I want the object to be illuminated as well.
Any possibilities?
OR
Any option to have a colored shadow? for the light which will pass through the transparent surface?

set the material type as "foliage" and then put a light object inside it.
I tried that.
A cube - red - foliage material.
added a light source inside.
But my question was how to get a colored shadow?
For an image without lighting change you can fake it with emissive materials and decals, but it's normally more work than photo-shopping it for a still image.
Otherwise you can't (...yet... it's one of the oldest requests on the wish-list)
Can we do something to get colored shadow?

It is definitely filed as a feature request on our agenda - I've gladly added a further upvote to the topic through your voice! This way, our developers will be aware of the further demand for this implementation. Thanks!
AMAZING
Is there a platform or a list which is available were we can contribute more in to the wish list?

The platform is internal, but every wish will be noted and every topic (feature request) will be up-voted through our users to reflect its demand!
You guys talking about having a SSS material in Enscape? What if you set to foliage and change the opacity slider to make it less transparent? Would that work? Translucent materials are not fully transparent as the sample image showes. They absorb light vs leting light travel through 100 percent.

What you see in the picture you've posted is not easy to render in real-time - if it would be as simple as you described above, we would have done it already. Still, as hardware does get better and better, allowing for more performance intensive tasks like SSS materials in real-time, we can consider such an implementation.
Looks like a RT SSS effect could be possible, here an example from Eevee:

Is Eevee Open Source? Maybe it's possible to use some code for Enscape.
You know...you might be able to fake the look of SSS in Enscape. See attachment. I noticed a couple things: You can't have self-illumination and transparency on at the same time, and bump map doesn't seem to show.

Sidenote and reminder: could be great if the team could make that parameters can be free combined and still work. It would be a big step forward.
