Batch rendering capability

  • Are there any future plans or discussions regarding the possibility of batch rendering (and perhaps txt or email notification of batch processing completion)?

  • mannyl , what exactly would you like to batch render, because you already have the ability to batch render images. All you have to do is to simply go into the view selector of Enscape and mark any views/scenes from which you want to create a rendering as favorite, and then just press the button marked orange on the right bottom corner:

If you already discovered this functionality, you probably want to batch render something else? If so, kindly let me know what you're referring to. :)

    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Hi Demian, this is exactly what I need. I was not aware of this feature. I just tested it and it works beautifully! Thank you for highlighting it for me!

Happy to hear that, you're very welcome.

  • The batch render feature is nice, but it has a flaw: It takes the geometry is active from the first view and keeps it even if other geometry/objects are on/off or changing scale. I'm working on an animation of a curtain going up while the camera is moving, but when I use the favorite batch render the curtain stays down. So I have to manually render each frame, which is a somewhat dreary task!

Otherwise, Enscape is great. It has really changed the ballgame for me visualizing my work!

Could you briefly guide me through the SketchUp procedure when it comes to "animating" the curtain? I'm not entirely sure which tools you're using for that; also, when you switch between the different views, do they take the changes into account, but just not when you use the batch render tool, did I understand that correctly? :)
