Hello, can someone explain to me what I am doing incorrectly? I am using the basic engine for my Archicad surface and I have changed settings under the "exposure to Light" category through the surface editor in ArchiCAD. But for some reason, my material will not change in enscape. Attached are screen shots of the surfaces settings, the surface in archicad, and the surface in Enscape. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, to get the desired effect you need to change the color of the bitmap itself in the external editor - then it will work.

This coloring through the "Emission Color" is not supported by Enscape. With 2.6 we plan to introduce a dedicated material editor which is already available for SketchUp and Rhino. This will allow you to more easily color textures/materials and will generally help you to also achieve more complex results faster, more straightforward.

Great! Thanks Demian

I have downloaded the 2.6 preview. Where can I find the material editor?

The ArchiCAD material editor is not yet included in the preview. The preview in general, thus 2.6, is still in its early stages. Stay tuned for future updates.

any news on the 2.6 update in terms of release date with the material editor?

Our next version Enscape 2.6, which will also include the ArchiCAD material editor, will be released in about 2-3 months.

Wow finally!!!! thanks for the material editor, i will have a good play around with it tonight and provide feedback.

Looking forward to play with it myself as soon as I get to it

...anyway to allow the EDITOR PALETTE and the Enscape window to remain LIVE at the same time???
On a SINGLE SCREEN setup, every time I engage the editor, it reverts to ARCHICAD's 3d window (and the enscape window is hidden...
Or do I just have to buy a second monitor???

I used to work on a laptop and it was possible if you got the order of what's active and [alt-tab] right. Been on dual monitors for a year or so and don't think I would survive going back to one screen.
