Can somebody give me a tip or trick as to how I might be able to make Enscape not render edge geometry? For some reason on my car models i get this subtle mesh edge showing through and I don't know how to remove it. I've uploaded an example file. Its very noticeable on some renderings and takes away from the overall look and feel of the image in some cases.

edge geometry becomes very apparent

What's the scale of the car model in Sketchup? Is it exceptionally large and if yes does the issue persist if you scale it to a realistic size? If it still looks like that we'd love to have a look at the Sketchup file if possible.

You can download the file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9y6w…ar_2013ChevyVolt.skp?dl=0. It seems to only occur in an empty scene with no surrounding reflections. Below is a screen grab of the same model in an active scene.

Ted.Vitale Thanks for sharing the model. It really occurs in empty scenes only. At this point the model is mistakenly affected by self occlusion.
As soon as you enter entourage/surroundings it should work fine.
=>We will check if we can optimize that.

Thats the behavior I noticed as well. I suppose the new Horizon back-plates will help with this too!

They should, yeah.
