Hello Omar,
the current Alpha for SketchUp does support SketchUp 2017 exclusively. The next released Alpha of our SketchUp support will support SketchUp 2016 as well.
However, it would be extremely difficult to support older versions, as well.
I hope my answer has been helpful! Feel free to contact us again if there's further questions!

hi Kaj,
I am using Sketchup 2016 (16.1.1449 64-bit). I installed enscape (enscape-1.9.0.403-g355786d). I can see that it has been installed in the system preferences. But, I cannot see the toolbars (even right clicking the menus dont show the enscape tools). Please advice.
P.s : I have also updated my graphics card to the latest drivers.

Hi jenujacob the version 1.9.0.403 should support SketchUp 2016.
Is Enscape listed in the extension manager?
Do you have other extensions installed and listed under the "Extensions" ribbon?
Maybe the Enscape toolbars are inactive in "View" -> "Toolbar".
How did you perform the installation of Enscape?
-
Enscape has some software dependencies, which are automatically installed together with SketchUp 2017, but not with SketchUp 2016.
These are:
.NET Framework 4.5.2 https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx?id=42643
Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx?id=53840
Enscape version 1.9.3.152 and later should detect this during startup and show you the appropriate messages.

Hi Jonathan!
Is Enscape listed in the extension manager? - Did you mean under the Extensions tab in System preferences? If yes, then it is listed. See attachment 1.
Do you have other extensions installed and listed under the "Extensions" ribbon? - I think you are using REVIT terminology for Sketchup. Sketchup 2016 has the Extensions menu bar and that does not show Enscape in it. See attachment 2.
Maybe the Enscape toolbars are inactive in "View" -> "Toolbar". - There is no Enscape mentioned in the toolbar. See attachment 3.
How did you perform the installation of Enscape? - I installed it through the Extensions options in Preferences (see again attachment 1)

Hi Jonathan!
Thanks for the very quick reply!
However, i was going through the system requirements for the .NET Framework and Visual C++ and i found this .....
Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Vista Service Pack 2
I am using windows 10 x64 bit.... will it work??

Hi Jonathan!
Visual C++ installed fine.
But, the .NET framework could not be installed due to a later update already installed on my computer. See attachment.
Looks like I am bad luck!!!!

okay... jorgensen had posted this in another topic...
i had the same problem - deleted the enscape folder here
C:\Users\brj\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017\SketchUp\Plugins
and the enscape.rb file here
C:\Users\brj\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017\SketchUp\
restarted installed enscape again - and now it works.
I followed the same and voila! it works!!!
Thanks Jonathan & Jorgensen!!!
