Hi All - back in 2014 I modeled this pumpkin for the upcoming autumn and Halloween season. This might also have been my start to deal with the topic subdividing modeling for the first time
An old model though but since Halloween is just around the corner again, I post these pictures...
In addition, I'm adding a picture (pic #4) showing a few steps about how I've made this awful orange guy 😀
pic #1 and #2 rendered in Enscape (the AO-render pic #3 with SkUp hidden lines is rendered in Shaderlight)
Love the breakdown! You can tell how masterful a sketchupper is by the variety of plugins they use haha. Soapskin and Fredo tools are my favorite combos.
Thanks Steven Garubba you are absolutely right - there are so often so different modeling strategies to choose from - I am so often amazed to see which way someone has gone for his modeling goal...
Another idea is to show something more than just any admirable render (which the pumpkins is certainly not!!! ) which is, at least for me, extraordinarily boring...
... just a for fun re-render of my orange and vicious vegetables
