Cloud shadows off/on button

    If you change the timeline on a scene or set a video with different times-stamp it looks like it is flashing because the clouds create shadows. Many times it creates unwanted light conditions. It would be good to have a simple checkbox to turn this feature on and off so the sun exposure could be independent from cloudposition

    It may look a bit strange if you have clouds in the sky, covering up the sun sometimes, but no shadow is being cast. Still, I can gladly file it as a feature request - just to make sure, you are aware that you can also remove the clouds in the Visual Settings -> Atmosphere Tab -> Density ?

    I agree 100%: There are some feature requests that already mention this exact issue:

    specifically: "Sun (& moon) brightness I think should have a 'lock' function that maintained the level of illumination, no matter if clouds covered it or not." from Clouds look painted


    perhaps "I love the movement of the clouds when you change the time of day, but I would really like to be able to turn things like* 'cloud movement' on during the recording of a video while keeping the same time of day" from Video Editor improvements

    Another negative consequence is that it is confusing for new users. They dont realize the clouds are affecting the amount of sun and spend time getting their exposure just right.... then the clouds move and they realize all their setup was based on partially obscured sunlight. I have been using enscape since the beginning and have been burned by this more than once. It is one of the reasons I stopped using the dense cloud option.

    Yes, It was my mistake no to describe it properly, sorry.
    It's about the exposure not a direct shadow, and for videos with different timestamp we have to lower the cloud density. It's good to have this feature like set up a rainy scene but sometimes can be disturbing and we have to play with the latitude and longitude to find an exposed position if we want clouds. I think that's why a simply switch or a "cloud transparency" slider would be perfect.
    Otherwise we are impressed by the frequent updates and the quality, so thumbs up.
