Thanks for your question. We will (not need to) provide a dedicated Material Editor for Revit anytime soon since you already have access to the Appearance tab parameters in Revit itself
- via this tab you already have the ability to adjust the material in any way you like, as possible in SketchUp/ArchiCAD/Rhino (which don't provide many advanced material options in the first place) with the dedicated material editor.
Check out this following article as well that shows which Appearance parameters are used by Enscape:

I'd love a material editor so we don't have to go back and forth to revit, as large files with tons of materials really began to slow down the process. And if they aren't instance parameters you have to go several clicks deep just to change one material. A quick edit in enscape without having to go back to revit would be HUGE time saver.
This in itself is what is holding back our firm from using enscape all the time. Please reconsider. This is the biggest advantage with all other renders.

You'll find that the Enscape material editor won't replace the Revit material editor for a number of reasons. Expect a hybrid workflow where you use the best editor for the use case.
A keyboard shortcut to the material editor will help you open the material editor directly (rather than go through the type properties of the family).

HI,
I have an archived project in Revit 2018, which I need to quickly produce a few studies and material tab isnt appearing... I have recently installed 3.1. Would anyone know why that is the case? The material tab is available in the other Revit versions, just not 2018 -

HI,
I have an archived project in Revit 2018, which I need to quickly produce a few studies and material tab isnt appearing... I have recently installed 3.1. Would anyone know why that is the case? The material tab is available in the other Revit versions, just not 2018I'm afraid this seems to indeed be an ongoing issue as mentioned by Phil - right away I'll recommend trying re-installing Enscape for all user - should that not help then this issue will be escalated accordingly.

Thank you for the prompt response Phil and Demian
